I have used this set nearly everyday since I made it, it's the perfect attire for gunning in FSC - but now I have taken a different path and it's time to hang up my guns :-/ Max fire uv on both parts gives the same resist as a Vog set but with ASI Vhigh for guns instead of swords. The ultimate gunner armour :-)

Its amusing to see how you make this nameless set sound like the must-have item of the century, when it in fact isnt. 20k ce is about the fairest price (maybe even a tad bit too much) this set could go for and anymore than that is a straight rip.

My sales pitch was intended to be somewhat amusing (thank you Rommil) and to make it stand out from the million other WTS threads - something that obviously went straight over your head.

'Value' is a very subjective thing, this set (as with every other item that is for sale) is worth whatever people are prepared to pay for it and whatever the seller is willing to part with it for. Is a flame aura 'worth' 3 million crowns, probably not - and yet one recently sold for that. Are prismatic wings 'worth' 4.6 million crowns, again, probably not - but people are prepared to pay for rare & unique items. If you don't think this set is 'worth' 20k TO YOU then your course of action is simple - don't buy it.

I am interested to hear what qualifies you to put a value on this and the method that you used to determine it other than plucking a random figure out of the air then coming in and trolling my thread?

As I have never seen a matched gunslinger set with a highly desirable UV like this up for auction there is no reference sale to base a cost on, I can only go by the material/time/effort costs of assembling it. When you consider that this is based on 3 star items which are not as easy to craft enmass using mist like wolver pieces, plus the niche appeal of gunslinger items the effort and cost required to assemble and craft this set is 'worth' more than 20k. I have seen the 3 star base items with max fire UV sell for up to 14k per piece. Also when you take into account the 8k unbind cost for a 5 star set; 20k doesn't cut it - I would effectively only be taking 12k for it...which barely covers the cost of ONE of the base items given current sale trends.

The bottom line is that a set like this IS pretty rare, and IS worth more than 20k. It might not be 'must have' to many and if noone wants to pay more for it then it is worth more TO ME to keep it...

I just wanted to chime in here on a touch subject. Value vs Worth.

How Valuable is it? How much is it worth?
The value of something is best calculated based upon what it does, or helps you do, and how functional it is above replacement.
The worth of something is how much you can sell it for, and only partially derived from how valuable it is.

to pluck an example at random, lets say, in this case, Max Fire gunslinger gear XD
I would argue that its value is less than elem max vog, or shadow max vog, or shock max skolver (for lockdow), or a few other items out there. But now, lets look at worth. The worth of this item will outpace its value, imo, because there are 100s if not 1000s of vogs being created daily (not to talk about 100s of 1000s wolver, dusker, ashtails). Wherea s there are 10s (not 10s of thousands) of 5* gunslinger gear being crafted up. [yes i am making up numbers, but while my numbers are somewhat arbitrary and inaccurate, the point is 100% correct], and so many less 3 and 4* versions created..and and and and, you can't craft 2* gunslinger gear at all!!! making useful UV's that much more incredibly difficult to come by.

So while certain peices are 1.5-2x more valuable than max fire gunslinger gear, they are also 10-20 times more common. How many max (insert) vog sets do u see weekly on AH? lots. How many max fire gunslinger sets have i seen on the bazaar, this is only the first or second.

(another example would be vh asi Barb Thorn Blade sells for more than VH CTR Divine Avenger. The divine avenger is clearly teh better weapon, more versatile, stronger, and all around best weapon on the game. but millions of DA's are being crafted, rolled, and otherwise produced, a fraction of BTB's are being made, and thus vh asi BTB is soooo much less common--same for Final Flourishes. So while its hard to argue that vh ASI final flourish or BRB is remotely in the class of VH CTR DA, it sells for more b/c its so damn rare.)

All that being said, i have sum interest in the max fire gunslinger set. And i will eventually make an offer on it, if its not been sold by then. But that is quite a ways in the future, since my #1 priority is to create a complete bombing persona, and as of no i have none of the bombs i need, none of the bomber armor i want, and only part of the costume my heart is set upon. alas,....... but enough rich white guy problems xD
