if you hold the last post you can edit it to bump to the first page without breaking the ease of reading, just dont do that often enough that a gm still gets angry at you

Yup, editing last post marks that post as "new", moving the topic to the top. I recommend not doing it more than once per two hours minimum, as well as not doing it at all if your topic is on first or second page. Unless you have some update. Editing first post won't move the topic. You need to edit reply, so you have to make a reply to your own topic to "bump" it. Again, please refrain from doing it too soon after making the topic.
