Since the new patch, it says I've got mail at the top left of the screen (indicated by a yellow exclaimation mark), but I dont have any mail. At first, i checked if i had any unaccepted crown from auction house mail, and after some laborious checking, i did (its nice to find a few thousand crowns youve forgotten about). But these were from a few weeks ago, and there wasnt a permanent exclamation mark yesterday.
Ive since checked every mail again and deleted them after each check. Now my mailbox is empty and the exclamation mark is still there.
Is it a part of the new patch? Whats the dealio??

I tried a suggestion from a thread in the general discussion forum where i sent a message to myself, with and without sending stuff to myself.
