I think it's because of the new patch
dam notice, everytime I login i thought I got a message
anyway, as u can see.. ive delete almost ALL of mah message and still no cure of this bug

Did you guys get any new mail yet? I can imagine that the icon going away is triggered by having at least one unopened mail and opening it.
Send yourself a mail and accept it (perhaps even test it with some energy or crowns).

I made a thread about it in the bugs forum.
I also tried sending a message to myself, both with and without attachments and it still doesnt work.
So is there anyone who doesnt have this bug?
I think it should go away after you've deleted the Patch Notes mail. At the very least, it did for me. I haven't logged back on to check and see if it lasted, though.
Tried many ways to remove that, still no go, i have that damn small icon near my mail button.
I read the mail and deleted it.. done
Although for comparison, I did it hours ago just as the mail had popped up...
I deleted ALL my mail and still had notification. No messages, but you got unread ones. Invisible mail...
After the reboot it went away.
i had the same issue too, was going to report it
I deleted the power surge message and the message notice disappeared
I had gone through all my mail, and it was clear. Then I get a message in the chat notification.
"You have received mail from Support" Or something.
The star thingy appeared on my mail, but there was none.
I think, that Support mailed all players telling them that they were going to restart the server, but it was bugged too.
Lol same here. Was really expecting it to be fixed by now e_e
