Yeah, I have to agree that doesn't seem right. You might want to do an in game petition or something. I know it will ask for higher stuff, but that's a promotional item. It's not even higher ranked, that's just like a 1 star bomb. It's from one of the packs they would have to buy just to turn that in. Doesn't seem right.
I've turned in a twisted spine cone and I know of people who had graviton bombs for missions but that's different, those aren't promotional items.
Definitely make that petition to them about it so they know.

There's also a thread about this in general discussions about how unbalanced the prestige missions are.
Suggest adding your voices there, as at this point, this isn't actually a bug since it was brought up in the test server feedback and it was asking for sealed swords and the like there.
that's how it is
when you rank up it asks for higher stuff. Some people have seen it ask for a cautery sword or mega magnus
