Hey everyone! So this idea got thrown around earlier in another thread, which will be linked to below, and we've come up with the rules. Thanks to Brucerainbows and Toastnaut for coming up with these rules and ideas!

The Auction will be held Friday, March 9th, at 7 PM EST in HAVEN 10!

This will essentially be a bachelor auction, where players will bid on volunteers, and if they win, they will get to have the volunteer do what they say for a period of time, with certain restrictions.

The proceeds of the event will be divided 50-50. 50% will go to the volunteers, to compensate them for their time, and the other 50% will be raffled off to the bidders!

We are looking for volunteers to be auctioned, as well as for bidders. Mess with your friends! Meet new people! Have fun! If you are interested in being either a bidder or a volunteer, please send an in game message to me, IGN Ginungagap, or post here! We need to know every who will be there before the event occurs.

-The Rules-

The volunteers will be able to select the maximum length of time they are comfortable with being ordered around for, and this period will take place directly after the auction.

Volunteers will have the FINAL say in what they are willing to do. They can not be required to give CE, items or cr to bidders even if asked, unless they want to do so, for whatever reason.

Acceptable activities to do with your volunteer include parading them around Haven in silly costumes, running clockworks, and playing LD, or anything like that. This event is bout having fun, not making money, so just let loose and have a good time

Please keep in mind that you ARE volunteering, so try and be a good sport about everything.

-Bidders-
Please don't be too mean, and just try to keep it light and fun!

Absolutely! Volunteers have total authority to refuse to do something, however we do ask that people be good sports about it. If whatever you are being asked to do is profane or against the ToS as displayed by OOO, then of course there is no reason you should do that! Thank you for volunteering!

Thanks Rete!

Just trying to keep things consolidated, and considering we now have an exact time frame, didn't want to assume anything.

@Trying The issue with that is that the time you will have to be serving someone will be when you want to have someone doing what YOU say. I think we want to try and avoid overlap there. Though I will say we could use some bidders, there seems to be no shortage of volunteers!

But right now we're filling up quickly with volunteers, so we're more looking for bidders at this point. If we start getting more bidders we should be be able to add you, but right now we're at a very unfavorable ratio of volunteers to bidders. I'll let y'all know, and thanks for the offer!

In-game I'm a T3 bomber with a fondness for the Shivermist bomb and the Leviathan, though I am starting to work for a few different bombing strategies. I'm glad to help in any t1, or t2 boss with a great chance of success. Can't say I've beaten Vanaduke yet though, only tried twice with my buds and they weren't that successful. No matter what happens I'm here to have fun, you won't get any negativity out of me no matter how dicey it gets. Thanks for you time!

So far with only one bidder, drumming up some more bidders can't hurt.

I am capable of running everything, have a large variety of gear for any situation, and can adapt to pretty much any challenge.

So I didn't get added even though I was "InB4Messege?" Oh well looks like I'm just going to have to BID!

Though I have settled on spending about 2k I'm not sure on whom and what for....

What do I need down? I've yet to complete the Fire Storm Citadel... I also need a few more Bark Tokens so I can pick up a shock capacitor. Though I mostly run with my friend or my bro it might be fun to have an extra pair of expert weapon wielders.

I have a feeling we have too many volunteers and not enough bidders but I'll gladly volunteer should we get enough bidders. My main account is Blackskies, but if you're feeling exceptionally noobish I can always log on as Zafty as well. My main is a 4* account, and I'm up for any run with exception the of DLC. As for bidding well... we'll just see who's up for sale when I get there.

Hurray Skies!

Yeah, I don't think a haven is picked, but it's been talked about using one of the quiet, french ones in the Bazaar I think.

As for payment, as stated above half will go to the "slaves" and half will go to the bidders in some form of raffle (that was the plan at least.)
I'm not 100% certain, but the second half may end up going towards some actual prizes to raffle instead of just getting some or all of your crowns back. :)
