The following is what I have right now in terms of 3 to 4 star armors/helms that have branches in the Alchemy path:

Chroma Set

Dusker Coat
Ash Tail Cap

Elemental Set

Fused Demo Helm

Drake Scale Set

Seraphic Mail
Angelic Helm

Current plan for which 5* sets I should make with these:

Ash Tail Set--> Vog Set
Chroma Set--> Dread Virulisk Set (though I also want to get a Salamander Mask at some point too)
Elemental Set--> Divine Veil+??????
Seraphic Set--> Armor of the Fallen+?????
Drake Scale Set-->Radiant Silvermail (not planning on upgrading the Helm beyond Wyvern Scale Helm if at all, since I only want the helm for the looks)
Demo Set--> Mad Demo Set (because this appears to be the default "final" choice most people take. If doing Shadow Lairs was even remotely an option for me I'd try and see if I can grab a Mercurial Demo set)

Also I still haven't picked up any of the Gunner sets yet. I will do so in the future, because I want to use guns more often. And I haven't taken doing Shadow Lairs or getting the special armors from there into account yet because I'm 100% F2Per at the moment and it took me a few days at a time to collect enough CE to make the 4 star stuff I do have (which consists of Blizzbrand, Avenger, Dark Thorn Shield, Silent Nightblade, Ash Tail Cap, Seraphic Mail).

So yeah, bros, where do I go from here? I was planning on quitting if the drama with the DLC got really bad and nearly everyone worth having fun with left (and at one point considered starting some kind of demonstration), but I've decided I'm going to stay until I at LEAST am able to do Vanaduck and beat him once. The Clockwork Runs (A.K.A the core gameplay) are still free and as long as they are I'm going to get as much fun out of them as I still can.

I'm still going to take things slowly like I have been doing for the entire time I've been playing SK, though, so in my book at least, OOO still has a lot of time to fix things.

Try a hybrid of skolver/vog,

Try a hybrid of skolver/vog, gives you nice protection from both piercing and elemental.

I say hold the chroma until you can do shadow lairs and make arcane, the usefulness of the chroma line goes down once you obtain skolver/slash(damage) trinket.

Elemental hood: Divine veil with skolver for best general purpose set, grey feather for a nice bit of defence, or chaos cowl for the bragging rights.

Seraphic: Crown of the fallen has nice shadow def, but a large penalty vs fiend. Heavenly Iron is shadow lair. Valkyrie helm is an upgraded seraphic, same stats but more of it.

Demo: You could go for demo/volcanic hybrid, still hitting max ctr and retaining a nice amount of damage, with better defences than full mad bomber. But yes, full mad bomb is probably the best to hit max ctr and damage on a bomb.

It seems like you lack a piercing weapon? Flourish/barb line.

I have the 3* Barb sword and

I have the 3* Barb sword and I crafted my Flourish into a Flamberge because I thought "being able to set stuff on fire==Always good". I don't regret it yet since the Barb and Flourish are pretty much the same sword if you're not using the charge. And I think the Barb line's charge is better.

As for guns the best I have are the 3* Prisma, Shadow, and Fire Alchemers, the Magnus (Which I am really enjoying using), and two Antiguas which I'm saving for until I get the recipes for both the Silversix and Blackhawk.

As for bombs, the highest level bombs I have are my Electron and Graviton Charges (3*).

Prisma/firo/silversix are all

Prisma/firo/silversix are all elemental weapons. Take your pick between them, the main difference is in the mechanic of alchemers and fire status.

Shadowtech/blackhawk are shadow weapons, take your pick based on your preference of gun mechanic.

I say upgrade the electron, if you can spare the time and korgmo coins to get the recipe. The shock keeps the monsters together, and is extremely useful in fsc.

I love my full Mad Bomber

I love my full Mad Bomber set. Although, the volcanic helm option is very attractive. Many people I run FSC with think I'm insane for doing it in full Mad Bomber. I was also told that I am more aggressive with my bombs, faster, and straight up stupid-risky than many bombers they've seen. So, I'd say this for the demo choices:

What's your game play style? When you go bomber, do you like trying to deal damage and kill things? Or are you more into crowd control, and letting the status effects slowly eat through monsters? If the former, go full Mad Bomber. If the later, do the hybrid, focus on CTR, you don't need the damage (and the negatives with Mad Bomber are a pain, to be sure.)
