Chaos Cloak Description:

"A forbidden mantle said to grant the wearer protection within the nameless realm where all elements are said to converge into one and divide into all."

Chaos Cowl Description:

"A hood of dubious origin that shrouds its wearer in both mystery and elemental protection."

Both sound rather dark in origin.

The recent Chaos buff definitively puts it more on par with other armor lines.

But I'm kinda curious.

What if the "Nameless Realm" is supposed to represent the "Unknown Passage"?

My opinion on Chaos set:

Make it the ultimate niche set.

Underneath where it says CTR and DMG innate bonuses, I suggest it add one more bonus:

"Special Boost in The Void"

What is that boost?

Upon wearing this set in the Unknown Passage, an aura will appear with the Chaos set Gleaming.

It's innate attributes will unlock, and the following bonuses are given:

CTR Changed from Low to Med
+5 Extra Hp
All status bars are flipped. (Meaning they go from negative to positive only within the Passage)
ASI Low is granted.
Normal defense UV granted: Med

Any thoughts? No flames please.

Also note, I've never been to the Unknown Passage, so I have absolutely no idea how hard it is. If this set makes the Unknown Passage become as easy as Shiverblitzing Vana, then please tell me how I should fix that.

I don't think any set should gain a boost, it would prevent mixing and matching and customizability.
Just like we have so many pure wolver sets, we may get a lot of pure chaos sets in Hidden Passage. At least at vana there are quite a few different armours to bring, such as Vog, Deadshot, Snarbalicious etc.

The fact that chaos cloak

The fact that chaos cloak gives a universal boost to both CTR and damage makes it the best set in the game for hybrids, hands down. Combine that with a wide variety of trinkets and you can literally make yourself an elite bomber, gunner, and swordsmaster all with just one set of armor.

It is extremely underrated, and should be used way more by hybrids. In fact, it should be listed as a recommended set for a Hybrid Guide.

edit: What I'm trying to say is, the fact that it gives universal bonuses makes it versatile. By giving each piece a medium bonus...you do realize that is would not only make Skolver obsolete in PvE, but it would practically break the game in general. Players that are skilled enough to avoid getting hit would benefit most from the buff, and you would see nearly every weapon receiving max dmg and ctr, imagine the brandish rushes, the fact that you would be replacing mad bomber set, shadowsun set and so on....

Oh I see what you're getting at, that would be interesting to see.

I'm with Neodasus on this one. It really is hardly used, and has recently got a decent buff. It's a pretty nice set, for many cases.
