I know at least hundreds, if not, thousands of people posted and QQed about this on the suggestion thread, in game, etc. But I thought I'd express my own take on this debate.
Before I begin, I just want to say to 000 (Three Rings) that I am tired of seeing the same weapon categories over and over. All we literally have is swords, and guns. And I mean, yeah some look more unique than others but COME ON. I'm really sick of seeing this crap.
But maybe, I don't know, perhaps you can throw in a Hammer and Axe Weapon type? Hey, even add two-handed, double-sided, and dual-wield weapons that everyone wants?
And for Long Range weapons, I would LOVE to see some rapid-fire crossbows with some longbows thrown in the mix? Throwing Axes? OH, grenades would be nice too.
As for Armour goes, I kinda want more variety and articles of changeable clothing. Like for the armor slots, split them up to gloves, torso, leggings, and so on and so fourth. The variety ticket thing is fine but some of the articles of clothing I mentioned should only get so many number of variants
Example: Hand wear can only get 1 variant, leggings 1, torso 2, etc.
We want more accessories that don't suck. Like, could you add wrist bands, belts, ROBES!?, These should be standard armor slots anyway, Idk maybe I'm just whining
Oh, and visible weapon enchantments would be amazing. Like say I got a Divine Avenger that has extra Normal Damage, the sword would be pulsing red? I don't know, just to throw something out there.

Why? They'd all function identically to guns. If you want to introduce a new system, then make them function DIFFERENTLY than the current guns. Don't suggest re-texturing guns just so you can fire a crossbow or throw an axe.

I.E. You want this to be like every other MMO, with exactly the same slots, etc. This requires total overhaul of balancing of the game, as well as hundreds of new equipment pieces. Not to mention, each tiny piece would have the same crafting cost as a large piece of armor. 5* Wrist craft cost = 5* Coat craft cost. Doesn't work with this game.

Robes = Costumes, not accessories. Belts can't exist because it would clip with the armor we already have, unless you want it to look like the belt is floating on some pieces of gear or is non-existent on other pieces. Wrist bands would also clip with armors like Jelly lines, and Skelly lines, which have very large armor on their arms.

You can't have extra damage on a weapon. Having weapons glow due to specific UVs has been mentioned, but it would get laggy for low-end PCs in LD. Not to mention almost everyone would have extra glowy-sticks.
