I would want to see that guns had their own power but you can also buy bullets for them that don't disappear but add special abilities.
Also a heat gun which fires stored heat.

This is your problem. Why fiddle with new mechanics, wich may require lots of work to code or balance instead of simply creating new guns on their own, with whatever special ability you want.
Be more simplistic people.

To all people asking for weapon abilities:
Unless you buff monsters to make them impossible to take down without abilities, they will never be implemented.
Too much work on the part of the devs.
Please think through your posts before you post in the future, you're getting a bad reputation on the Suggestions Board.
