I'm looking to buy 2 gift copies of Operation Crimson Hammer via Steam trade. Trading in CE. Please post your price.

I wish to buy within a day of posting this.

I asked in Trade, and someone said 3500 CE for 2 copies was fair, so I'll just make that the quicksale price. If this price seems too high or low to you, that's fine, just one reference in game (haven't been around in a while, not keeping up with price changes, so I asked Trade channel).

Add me on Steam if you are interested, thanks!

Revise your expectations

Whoever said 3.5k for two is sorely mistaken. The going rate is 3k CE each at minimum. Just a tip.

Thanks, that's actually what

Thanks, that's actually what I figured, and he said 3K CE each was a huge rip off since 3500 CE = $10, so I should be getting a better rate than $10 in trade. Of course, I understand how virtual economies work (all virtual money loses value the moment it's bought), so I don't expect 3500 CE to = $10 (where OCH = $6), so I can revise my expectations easily.

I'll still take the cheapest offer in the next day or so. What am I supposed to do with all this CE and shadow keys when I stopped playing SK 6 months ago? Offers, please!

Side note: what a sad state for SK. I come back 6 months after Halloween to find the game has a paid add-on, and no other new content. Redressing the rest of the game into quests and missions is neat, but it's the same stratums we've seen a million times before. How stale this game has become. I just want to try OCH since that's actually new content. Everyone has wings now. It's not special. Tails, eyes, height mods, it's like OOO is trying to distract people from noticing they aren't adding actual playable content to the game. When you leave a game and come back 6 months later and it has no new content beyond a paid add-on, it's pretty clear how little focus they have on creating entertainment, and how much drive they have to squeeze every penny they can from the player base (maybe SEGA has something/everything to do with this though). Nick is very critical of games and games practices on his twitter account. Perhaps he should turn that critical eye on his own game.

Oh btw, I work in game development. I know what a team of 2 is capable of. I know what a team of 10 is capable of. I know what a team of 80 is capable of. I don't know what size the SK team is today, but if they even have 10 people full time, they're slow. Everyone says they love who they work with, everyone's great, everyone's amazing. I'm sure OOO would say the same, and that isn't a jab at anyone's abilities. Maybe they just need more programmers (which dev team couldn't use more programmers?).

I started SK over a year ago, at launch (not preview). FSC and Vanaduke existed. Guess which quest is still run by end-gamers? I definitely appreciate additions like the AH, training hall, new merchants, weapon rebalances, and so on. But from a content perspective, little has been added. Snarby should take about 1-2 weeks to code, 2 weeks for art. 1 more week for bug fixes. Sorry, really went too long on this tangent. I still respect the devs or I wouldn't be here. Just... hire people who actually work at a competitive pace? :)

Ill start offers at 3500ce

Ill start offers at 3500ce each on behalf of lubbette :) You are also very welcome to play the addon with us, we have only just got it and haven't played through it yet. only done T1 so far.

Could also come up with a deal if you include a shadow key. something else to do :). send me (lubbes) a friend request and we can talk!

I hear ya with the lack of new content. the ironic thing is that the level changing arcade was one of the things that attracted me to the game, so they have the mechanism in place to implement new levels, eg like they did with 'gremlin grounds', not that that was groundbreaking.

Personally if they made the level architecture code open source so we could make our own levels and upload them then i think they could make a killing.

Thanks for the offer. I'll

Thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind.

I've figured plenty of ways OOO could crowd source some of the levels. Maybe that's in the works, but if not, it should be a serious consideration. Fans make content for free. They get rewarded in CE etc for their contribution. Leads implement the best into danger rooms, or parts of a stratum. The back end for this would likely take about 3 weeks for one programmer to completely set up, with a simple editor. I wouldn't say "open source," but certainly crowd source content is not new, and I think a big part of any online game going forward. You make up for the lack of team size with the incredible power of your own players.

yeah

Shadow keys do sell for that, but I'm assuming he already has them. From the sounds of it, he neither needs ce nor shadow keys, sounds like he is mostly done with the game. Therefore the shadow keys aren't worth much to the seller, and I cost him the least ce (at 1750 a game). Which means he can use the ce I save him on other steam games.

Now I could be wrong and he does feel like he'll actually use/sell the keys. I want them to use, not sell, so I'm still only making 3500. /e shrugs.
