When a knight is affected by confusion, all his controls will be inverted (so you'll go to the opposite direction that you want to go) and when the player uses a pill or a vial, it could be using another item due to the confusion but your weapons won't be affected. The player will have 3 question marks on their head during the effect.

A confusion vial is a pure white color bottle.

It symbol will be a question mark.

Monsters that can conflict confusion:
Gremlin thwacker
High-devilite
Dizzy (slime family, lichen series)

Hope it's cool :)

This idea has been brought up before, and right now I'm too lazy to use the search function for you.

Anyway, one of the biggest issues with the idea is that not everyone uses keys to control their knights. Some people use the mouse to move. What happens then?

Would rather see sleep fixed, but still good. Oh, and don't give it to devilites over other things. Thats not a good idea.

If it does extra damage to poison afflicted and stratum enemies I would laugh for at least twenty-eight seconds.

I have a suggestion, perhaps it could be possible to add a "blind" status where the players screen is blurred/distorted/blanked out?

Hey....

I posted an idea like this once. Didn't get more than a few posts -_-.

Anyways, new status = people want status weapons = new confusion weapons = OP lockdown weapons = more people whining about how unbalanced LD is. How is this status OP in lockdown. You have two strikers after you and a recon hits you with a confusion what do you do? From my post post people said, they don't think any status the causes you to loose control of your character should be allowed.

Also if this was added how would monsters be affected.
@Comrade-Conrad

NO JUST PLEASE NO. I already have latency and teleporting to deal with. I don't need anything else that causes me to wander into traps and monsters.

THIS IS SO CONFUSING!

I've considered suggesting this before to. Perhaps instead of "inverted controls" as it's been pointed out that some people move with mouse, just make the movements completely random. Another idea would be that it could make you have a "chance" of using shield instead of weapon and vice versa. As for npcs that are confused, they can move random directions as well or maybe even attack their allies.

@Flowerx

This is possible. I should know, because I'm learning to be a game programmer. Maybe the mouse would go the opposite direction, even on the HUD.
