of a weekend, how about they just make like a punch pass. A NPC would sell it for maybe like 1,000 or 1,500 ce and you get half price punch for one day.

But I think this will work! juances, you don't take into consideration the 50% SALE effect and think of it as a permanent price. If it is to be done for a weekend, the prices would drop significantly - for 1-2k because people will rush to upgrade their stuffs. (And the next week, the prices will return back to normal he-he) So I think of it as an emergency lever, a powerful one, but you know, flooding surface with magma and killing all undead elephants, didn't help Boatmurdered, right?
No it wont. If punch becomes cheaper, then crowns will lose eve more value, people will kep the energy instead of selling it.
In fact i think the opposite, doubling punch price may do a better job, since people will need crowns so they'll get rid of their energy, increasing the supply.
