T1 Battlepod immune to Bombs?

So today I was doing the prestige mission, Assault on Machine Shop 13, with my alt wearing the Fused Demo Set, a Super Blast Bomb and a Freezing Vaporizer Mk.II. Because I had a proto shield, it was going to be a T1 mission.

So I did the two stages no problem, but then I came to the mission's "boss", a battlepod.
This battlepod only did one thing: Creating mini-shields, or blockades as said in the Wiki. The only way I could get hit was with 2 respawning retrodes which were easily dispatchable with 3 super blast bombs.

Now my problem was definitively not the retrodes. The problem was this:

For all I could try, I could never hit the battlepod (Who doesn't have a shield by the way, just blockades.). I tried about anything: Hitting it directly by putting bombs right in front of him; destroying the blockades (Which could've worked if the battlepod didn't respawn them faster than I could destroy one.), but I could not bring it down.

I could have used my vials, but obviously it wouldn't be enough to take it down even if I had 12.

Now I have honestly no idea how this happened. A very rare Event that triggered the glitch, or just a simple oversight from the devs?

Hopefully some light will be shed on this.

Your bombs were always getting blocked by the shields

That could be the most

That could be the most logical answer, but like I said the shields respawned too fast for me to bring down even one of them.

And even then when my bombs detonated in the holes between the shields, it did nothing to the battlepod.

Your bombs aren't close enough to reach the hitbox.

Again, like I said, I have

Again, like I said, I have put a lot of times a super blast bomb right in front of the battlepod and it didn't count as a hit.

Also may I remind you that a super blast bomb is 3* and has a radius big enough to fill the whole battlepod with light-blue explosives if I could put the bomb in the middle of it?
If we were talking about 2* or below bombs yeah you'd be right, but this is a 3* bomb.

The range doesnt matter if you always get blocked by the shields

Look, I know it's crazy, but

Look, I know it's crazy, but I swear I could not land one hit on it for the whole 5 minutes I've been there fighting it.

I understand you aren't convinced, but next time the construct prestige mission pops up, bring a super blast bomb and do the T1 version.
