More bomb feedback after extended play

This bomb is fun but I don't think it fits the intended niche. OOO took the longest range bombs and made it have the same AoE as the DR, the smallest AoE of all 5* bombs, this in its self isn't a bad thing if it can still perform. When we look at the DR it has a lasting dps effect that offsets the small radii of the bomb making it useful. These bombs need a reason to be used despite the small radius, either increase the AoE or buff the second blast by 10-15%. Either of these solutions would work but I would prefer the second option, I like the idea of a small heavy hitting bomb. As it stands these bombs are kind of like versions of the BAB minus the slow walk while charging, you are trading off AoE for damage but it just isn't quite where it needs to be.
These bombs will be a big flop in PvP. Once people have seen them a few times they will be easy to avoid. If these were given a fuse time of 1 second for the first blast and .5 seconds for the second blast this would be much more useful in both PvP and PvE. Overall these are fun to use bombs but they feel like they are lacking a bit.
Edit* with max damage on the first depth of KoA the RSS does 380 per shard against a slag walker. Keep in mind that only half of the bomb damage is specialized and the other half is neutral so unless these new 5* bombs are hitting, weak enemies to their respective damage types, 400-500 damage in stratum 6 they are not a viable replacement for the current RSS.

Yeah, I agree, I really like the AoE as is but the bomb does feel lacking a bit in the damage area. If I remember correctly both DBB and Nitro hit above 300 with max damage in KoA so 400ish for a bomb with a small AoE doesn't seem out of place. I did run across some Greavers and can confirm that these current bombs had a struggle with them. I really think that if the fuse times were adjusted down a bit this would be an area where it would really be noticeable.
Well I knew from the first post that the new shards would not compare with the RSS on damage. They hinted at that. Considering that the RSS was a 4* bomb, I think it's really hard to argure that it was NOT overpowered. It definitely was, in my mind. Making it a 5* and leaving damage where it was, it still would have been a bit overpowered.
I agree though, this current bomb is underpowered. It's really hard to kill fiends, even trojans. I'm still working on it. I think the AoE is good. While it's rough having it so small, if it was bigger, then it's just be a nitro. While I don't hit things multiple times all the time, i do hit them, and if the AoE was bigger, it's basically just be a two shot bomb. Nothing special. but tweaking the damage upwards a bit would be very helpful I think.
