Personally, I think it would be pretty dumb if they didn't do this, I mean will be nearly zero work, since they already have a working SK client on Linux, it might require 1 or 2 little fixes. Also, we should take care of it, and remind the devs so they don't forget.
Whats the difference? You can already use forum login trick to use steam accounts without steam.
Having or not the client installed doesnt matter, unless you want the trade feature. Maybe they'll do it for more propaganda.
