I was fighting a gremlin thwacker in C42 when he at some point ran into three fire tiles in a corner with his back turned against me. I was using Shocking Salt Bomb and Dark Retribution at the time. The DR could hit the shield, which didn't prompt a reaction, and the shard bomb shards stopped short of the fire, their 3 pixel blast radius unable to reach him.
Since I was being chased by infinitely respawning nuke oilers, there was no way for me to contact a GM about this without dying, which would probably send me back to Haven before a GM could arrive and resolve the situation.
The gremlin did eventually decide he wanted to find a different corner to hide in and I managed to kill him then, but not before I'd tried assaulting him between oiler-dodging for somewhere between five and ten minutes.
What's the bug report here? Gremlin AI is annoying? Gremlins are able to pass completely unharmed through fire? Shards stop short of fire because fire somehow is solid? I just don't want to end up in that particular situation again. Who knows if the gremlin will even bother moving at all next time?

Discovered in C42. If I felt particularly suicidal one day and brought a loadout with only shard bombs, I'd be screwed if a Thwacker decided he wanted to just stand in a cluster of fire tiles in a corner, as shards are blocked by them.
Oh, and sometimes Thwackers decide they want to just stand in a cluster of fire tiles in a corner with their backs turned, making them impossible to hit with most weapons. I guess I should file a seperate bug report topic on that.
Well, fire tiles are meant to block everything - bullets, vials, charge attacks and shard shrapnells
I dont see why shard bomb shrapnells should be favoured and be able to pass fire tiles.
