Yeah, the Sapphire Knight (or whatever the newest gate is called) has a 50% chance of being a Clockworks Tunnels style level (Gremlin Grounds). I've already gotten myself clearance for it and it seems to be working out well for me.

depth 1? that's hardly any
depth 1? that's hardly any candy! Golden phantom is where it's at! I once got 3 (or 4?) punkins in a run. AND money/mats to make it worthwhile.

Any depth is worth it for
Any depth is worth it for those of us with an elevator pass. Also, depth 1 is 8 candy, so it's nothing to sneeze at. Then again, T3 gives 50% more candy, that's a better place as far as candy/time is concerned.

For anyone wondering about what to do now that the Queen gate is gone:
You can find the Punking King in any depth with a "Gear" as its icon, only if it is NOT a Deconstruction Zone. EI: Blast furnace.
Getting clearance to each gate by traveling from one "town" to "town" allows you clearance to that tier. If you walk from depth 1 to depth 9, you get free clearance to Tier 2 for that gate. This means that you do not have to pay the entrance fee for using the elevator to skip to that depth. Tier 2 has a 200 crown fee while Tier 3 has a 500 crown fee. This makes doing quick runs cheap and cost efficient by not spending money as well as energy to go down from Haven.
