Had that same problem for a while. Just do what Flowchart says and it fixes it.
But hope it doesn't turn into my problem. That happens to me every time I try to play through steam. I have to restart steam every time I want to play. .-.

still doesn't work for me :(
Even if i restart steam, there is still no option to login with my steam account. how long has this been going on for? I've been away fromt he game for a long while and got the feeling of playing again. What are the chances that I'd want to play again during this error in login? :\
try restarting steam, that usually fixes it
