I'm just getting in to 5* gear and I want to get the right setup the first time around
This setup is mainly geared towards farming FSC, but I would use it for other things.

What I have now:
Armor: Ash Tail
Cap: Ash Tail
Weapon 1: Tempered Calibur
Weapon 2: Super blaster
Shield: Horned Owlite

What I'm going for:
Armor: Vog
Cap: Vog
Weapon 1: Leviathan/Divine Avenger/Gran Faust/Barbarous Thorn Blade (Whatever the situation requires)
Weapon 2: Polaris/Bio Hazard or Sentenza/Callahan (depending on the situation)
Shield: Grey Owlite (I plan on getting the Barbarous Thorn Shield later)

If I get a weapon slot upgrade, I might run:
Weapon 1:Divine Avenger
Weapon 2: Gran Faust
Weapon 3: Polaris
Weapon 4: BTB (would go in slot 2 if I only have 3 slots, situational.

I also thought about just using a DA and the GF/BTB, But I like to have a gun on hand.

Tried and tested.

Absolutely nothing wrong with your set-up.

yep, looks great

Generally: You're trying various styles of weapons, which is wonderful. You plan to carry a mixture of non-normal damage types, which is wonderful. In a hybrid sword+gun setup, you're making your gun elemental, which is wonderful. You'll do very well in FSC, until the Vanaduke fight. Many Vanaduke parties use the Blitz Needle + Shivermist Buster tactics. You have neither. You can still play a support role, but you would be more valuable to a typical Vanaduke party if you had one of these. It depends on whom you're partying with, and how narrow-minded they are.

Guns: In my opinion, Biohazard should be a low priority. Catalyzer-style guns are fun, but learning to use them effectively takes a long time. (I say this only because I have never learned to use them effectively. :) It depends somewhat on your teammates. By the way, you should give an alchemer a chance sometime. (And give bombs a chance sometime.)

Armor: Vog Cub is great for FSC. But when you do fiend levels (or kat-heavy levels), you may find yourself wanting some shadow protection.

Also, this thread would go better in the Arsenal forum. Move it there if you like.

I like Specialized Damage :)

Since I found the chart that shows all monster weaknesses/strengths, I realized that It was best to carry 2 different specialized weapons.
I like to have a sword and a blaster, so, for example, for RJP, I would take the GF, but it also has a fair amount of constructs, so I'd bring a Polaris or a Driver.
Candlestick keep on the other hand is undead and constructs, so DA is in order, I'm not sure what other types there are, so I would likely bring Valiance, or a Super Nova, if I get one.

I love my specialized damage :)

great

Great! Damage is the key rule of the game, I think.

Candlestick Keep has tons of undead, yes, but I don't recall seeing many (or any) constructs there. Occasionally a fiend such as a trojan or silkwing pops up. So my secondary weapon is usually piercing.

Good

Bopp already said the most important things, but here a few more advice :

- for your swords, Gran Faust should come last. The reason are mobs which are weak to shadow are easily dealt with other weapons, and they are just less frequent, unless you run RJP. If you plan on getting at least 1 weapon slot, you should drop the Leviathan, since you can run 2 swords + 1 gun. The only exception is to have a specialized weapon for Vana mask. That's VERY low priority

- for guns, as Bopp said, you should probably forget the Biohazard for now. It's hard to use, especially if you are not a primary gunner. The sentenza on the other hand is a perfect off-hand. Callahan is not great either for non-gunners. Blitz Needle on the other hand is a must-have due to its insane damage potential.

- for armor and shield, it's good for FSC, but you'll probably want to invest in other defense types once you run something else. Probably starting with shield first.
