I think a crossbow line of guns would be cool. It could have a charge attack like the fausts. You could make toxic crossbow. Cursed crossbow finally making a gun with curse. And a norrlmal damage one.

@OP:
Been suggested before (And yes, also in the form of Bow & Arrow), please use search bar, decided it was a bad idea, yada yada yada, no reason to have them over guns, no difference, just make a curse gun, blah blah blah, oh, and actually suggest a weapon (at least one and how it would work) instead of just saying "we need this".

Crossbows would just be really slow guns, I'd think. I'd like to see a bow-and-arrow implemented, really, but that would be far too complicated.

People have no idea how real weapons work.
The crossbow is a two-handed weapon. I suppose you could wield it with one hand, however, it would be highly unconventional. All guns in Spiral Knights are one-handed.

I made a topic about a modernized electric Tesla-like crossbow and bow, the bow being sort of a sniping weapon and the crossbow a repeating one, making it a stationary machine gun. It didn't get many answers, but it is there.
