Sorry, I didn't look through all the posts to see if this had been mentioned, but I think something that would add greatly to the game's longterm playability would be a mist tank upgrade that could be unlocked at some point early in the game.

A crafting mist tank would be a mist tank that refills up to say 300 energy, but can only be accessed by the crafting system, so there is still a hard cap of 100 on rechargeable energy to be used in the clockworks, but you are still able to craft higher level items without purchasing crystal energy.

I would lay it out something like this:

- Tank is a bound item.
- Once a tank is obtained, it is accessible by all characters on an account. Only 1 tank per account.
- Holds a max of 300 mist energy.
- "Overflow" mist energy (say if you don't play for a few days) automatically fills up the tank only after your account is at maxed out at 100.
- You can transfer crystal energy to the crafting tank with a 10% bonus. (270 crystal energy converted would equal 297 crafting energy, this is a one way process)
- crafting energy can not be removed or traded from the tank in any way except via the crafting system.

Obviously I would change the name to something else, but its a start of a rough idea.

Perhaps it could be available from brinks for a high number of tokens (50 - 100)?

I'd like it if this was the reward for defeating an optional boss or completing a quest, rather than something simply purchased from a vendor. Or perhaps the recipe is easy to obtain, but the materials required for the recipe require a few rare untradables that must be obtained from some powerful mini-boss monsters.

The overall concept seems sound to me, though.
