This is a suggestions board, Please make constructive criticism.
Ok, I'll presume that everyone reading this knows what upkeep is.
Well here are some ways I think the Guild Halls and Upkeeps can be improved:
1. When a Guild Goes in Default, instead of a 200% increase in the upkeep, a 100% increase should be used
Reason: Well its Kinda Obvious, the Guild gets stuck because of crazy rent. and is unable to go out of debt. Thus is dissolved.
2.Instead of using the crowns to beter equip themselves for missions, they are constantly being used for upkeep. So lower the upkeeps so that knights can actually use some of the money.

I welcome constructive critisims. Remember, by helping, you are helping the game get beter! Furthermore, I will also post more suggestions (not complaints) so heads up.

Guild Hall works as a crown sink for rich players wich in turn benefits everyone by countering CE inflation. It's also entirely optional.
Can't afford it? Don't use it. You're not missing anything related to actual gameplay.

I agree, but then if you think about it, how many players have you met said "Can anyone invite me into a Guild?" Guilds are a key part in the Game.

It is still unnecessary for beating the game. It is a key part, but it is not necessary for you to buy upgrades the guild can't afford to pay weekly.

you shouldnt go on default, if you do , your not ment to have a guild and your just better join one

not because you have controls over a guild it mean your good at doing it

Actually I don't have a Guild. I joined one, not own one. Still, I have to agree with quakeman. It is not a vital part of the game. But this IS an online game where you interact with members all ver the world. A Guild can help do that and more

A guild doesn't have to be all fancy to be considered a good platform. If you really want a good guild, get a good few friends and tada.

A guild does help you interact with members all over the world, and players can assist each other getting to where they need to be.
However, a guildhall is just a fancy, glorified private haven. Guildhall expansions are not necessary whatsoever.

Before the guildhall update, guilds got along just fine.
