Hi, I haven't been playing for a little while, and I tried to start the game today, but in vain. When I try to launch it, it appears in my dock for like 1 second or so, and then disappears, and nothing follows. I tried deinstalling/reinstalling the game, updating java also, but no luck so far.

Any idea how to solve this problem ?

I can recommend verifying the

I can recommend verifying the game integrity on Steam (if you play through steam).
If you don't play through steam then ignore this response.

Go to Spiral Knights in your game library, right click on it, then select properties.
In properties, select Local Files, then click Verify Integrity of Game Cache (make sure the game is closed and no other Steam games are running).
This may take a few minutes. After it finishes, restart steam and try opening SpiralKnights.
Also, a question for if you are on Steam. When you click to open the game, and it appears then disappears from your dock, does Steam still show you as playing the game? You can view this by trying to open SpiralKnights, then clicking (in steam) Friends in the top toolbar, then View Steam Friends.
It will show you at the top of your friends. Does it say that you are playing SpiralKnights (Even though it forcequit) or does it say you're online playing no games?

If you are not using the Steam client, then disregard this message. I run SpiralKnights through steam personally so if you play through the other method then I can't offer any advice.

Thanks for your reply, I do

Thanks for your reply,

I do play via Steam, and it shows me as playing for a few seconds after I launched the game before I come back to online since the game quits. I've been trying to verify the game cache, and each time I do it, Steam says it's checking 1 file and after that, I have a message stating that 1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired. Steam then proceed to download it, and if I try to validate once again, it will be ok this time. Now if I try to start the game once again, it will still fail, and I come back to the state I was before fixing the game cache.

You play through steam?

1. Deinstall the game through Steam.
2. Go to Library -> Application Support and look for a folder called "spiral" or "spiral_tw", if either of those are there delete them.
3. Reinstall and see if the same thing happens.
4. File a Support Ticket for SK.
5. File a Support Ticket for Steam.

Bit late, but same problem

I know this was posted a few months ago, but I was wondering if anybody has been able to fix this issue. I'm having the same issue and I've tried a dozen things. I tried a support ticket for SK but I only found one thing I think would relate to my problem.

If you've been able to fix this, please let me know!

Thanks!
