The game itself runs on any windows system with java.
The question is if the hardware of your computer has compatible drivers.

In most cases Spiral Knights will run on Windows 8. However, some graphics devices have been discontinued and are unable to run Spiral Knights in Windows 8. The list is here on the wiki.
