Goodness, people. Arsenal please. And I'm not sure what the elemental defense is for.

Helm, Armor, Trinkets, and

Helm, Armor, Trinkets, and shield are fine-ish (just watch out for rooms on first depth: shadow dmg galore!) But voltaic tempest won't really help that much, or as much as a shivermist buster, if you have one. FF is fine, supernova is fine, DA is fine, but VT seems a bit out of place.

And @ coel

Elemental for when he gets smashed by the lumbers. they hurt like a mother^&*$(#

Your weapon set is PERFECT.
However, those Snarbolax Bites (which you pretty much cannot avoid) are gonna rip right through that shield of yours before you even know what hit you.

wiki "Shadow Lair", search

Have you read the wiki page "Shadow Lair"? It gives basic equipment advice on all four Shadow Lairs. If you read it, you will discover that your proposed loadout doesn't make much sense. Well, your weapons are fine, but your helmet and shield are weak. If you're in a strong party, then you can make it through. But if you're in a party of novices, all of whom are wearing such equipment, then you'll have serious difficulty.

Divine Veil has no normal

Divine Veil has no normal defense, you're better off in full Skolver or Snarby/other shadow defense gear. Crest of Almire works nicely here, but Barbarous Thorn Shield is the best since you'll need to shield a lot in the boss fight. If you have a Combuster or Voltedge it can replace the DA (and VT) so you can take something else in the free spot.

right

Divine Veil isn't terrible, but it has elemental defense (useless) and lacks normal defense (important). And its status protections and fiend bonus are all wasted, by the way. So I think that it's fair to say, as I did above, that his helmet is weak.

Since the only part that is not easy is the boss, y u no use full skolver!
Also, Voltaic Tempest in pve is the most useless bomb ever. Don't even start the whole "crowd control" thing. Brandish charge is all the crowd control you need.

Actually, Ironmight is far superior than the BTS here. Crest of Almire is good too, if you're having more trouble with the run than with the boss. His Dragon scale shield is probably the worst shield for this situation since it's going to take full damage from most melee attacks and the odd howlitzer volley.

Erm, have you ever used it? Being able to effectively lockdown (Did somebody call for an exterminator? Ghost reporting. Never know what hit 'em.) an entire group of enemies nearly as well as a shivermist, and dealing 300 damage per second is hardly useless.

300 dps? 30 from 10 enemies? Each second? VT is not a dmg bomb, it's for support.

BTS is always a better choise than any other 5* shield.

@Theirillusion

No. 30 from 6-8 enemies nearly twice per second. Cluster damage is crazy, and active shock haze re-infliction both increases that rate, and roots enemies in place. This makes it so easy to kite with. Also remember to maximize damage by placing the bomb so that the explosion deals damage (it is handy)

In a lot of situations it's a support bomb. But in Firestorm Citadel and Ultimate Gloaming Wildwoods where there are piles of bones just begging to have thundering energy crammed down their throats, suddenly it becomes a weapon of mass destruction.
