Using materials to MAKE materials?

I'm getting quite irritated by the chronic lack of Everfrost, Sun Silver, Meteor Motes, Rock Salt and other rare materials. We either don't know what enemies they drop from, the enemies haven't been seen yet, or they aren't implemented. So many people have so many high-grade items to make, yet simply CAN'T because they are missing this one obscure item.

There needs to be a better way to do this. Thus, I suggest that we have a way to make our own materials. Because let's face it, it's a distinct possibility that not one of the gates will have the enemy that holds the material you want, making getting that material impossible. We should at least be able to stockpile some more common materials and use them to make the rarer ones. Even if the requirements themselves are ridiculous, at least then we have a way.

Yeah!

If there's ridiculous requirements to do it, I completely agree.

Just to throw this in: It's a

Just to throw this in:

It's a Closed Beta. You shouldn't get upset about bugs, badly balanced drop rates, or even some items that are put into the game a little late. Your main purpose is to help turn this game into a first-class product! Not to have the best time of your life right now. So either wait around until everything's fixed up, or stop playing now and come back when the Open Beta is released ;)

I vote no. The only reason you suggest this is because drop rates aren't properly balanced yet. If they are in the end, what will be the need of this system? And when the player-base increases a lot, you'll have a flourishing player-based market running as well, so you'll have plenty of supply there!

It may be good way to use your low lelel materials

I think that making materials from materials isn't such a bad idea. I think it's a sensible way to use your low level common materials in sensible way (I know that it's Beta and things are unbalanced but I suppose even if they were balanced you will still end up with tons of shards and other "common" materials in your inventory).

It could work like this: 50 Blue Shards are required to make one Gremlin Gizmo, 50 Gremlin Gizmos produce one Force Dynamo and 50 Force Dynamos are needed to make one Silver Coil. As you see 125.000 Blue Shards are needed to make a single Silver Coil so basically monster drops and player-based market will remain major way of acquiring rare materials.

Also you will still need a recipe for every material so some materials coul remain uncraftable (Trojan Horseshoe for example).

Just put in a robust, player

Just put in a robust, player to player trade system like the YPP shops with posted buy and sell prices. All your supply problems will go away
