Do this for me, gents:

  • Equip a bomb.
  • Press a button to activate a sprite skill.
  • Now hold down your attack button to start charging a bomb. Edit: As your knight's arm is retracting, not stretching out.

You'll notice you're not charging your bomb at all. Please fix this.

Greetings,

Are there any specific keybindings or additional instructions to reproduce this? Using the default keyboard and mouse layout I cannot reproduce this, my knight starts charging the bomb (or performing any other action) the moment the point animation completes.

If you are using only a keyboard can you please make sure your keys aren't ghosting?

I... I'm having problems reproducing it myself. This is weird. My input device is an xbox pad, with xpadder emulating keyboard inputs to avoid being unable to shield-charge.

I usually have it happen in hectic moments, like when a wave in an arena spawns. I'll open the waves by using hexic haze or something and start charging a bomb up. Might be related to frameskipping?

Edit:
Is it possible you fixed this with the most recent patch? I haven't had the problem since then.

I have figured out this little mystery. Do this:

  • Tap the shield button.
  • Immediately following that, hold the attack button.

The reason I thought it was related to sprite commands was because I try canceling the sprite command animation with the shield button, and then follow up by charging a bomb.

Keep in mind you might not be able to replicate it on your system. I had a fellow knight try to do the same and he did not have the problem.

I tried doing this by alternating between X (shield button) and Z (attack button), and it's 100% reproducable. It also work if I'm using RMB as the attack button.

The bug is reproducable on my laptop's native keyboard, the USB keyboard I've got plugged into my laptop, and with the xbox controller I'm using which is emulating a keyboard through Xpadder.

I figured this out! Again!

  • Use a sprite command.
  • Wait until the pointing animation has been executed and your knight is in the stage where he's retracting his arm, then start holding the attack button.

This is entirely reproducable, and it doesn't matter whether I use my gamepad, my keyboard or my mouse to do any of this.

Note that this doesn't just affect battle sprites, it affects recovery animations from all kinds of actions. Using pills, shielding and sprite commands are usually the ones that cause me to die lots of annoying deaths.

I had a guild training hall full of people test this out for me and they were all able to reproduce it.

Due to what is probably the same bug, I also can't follow up dashing with an attack. It's making the dash a very unattractive move.

Wow, I though it was a problem on my end due the high latency o.o yep, I've experienced this problem.

That is interesting. I've noticed recently that sometimes when I tell my knight to start a charging action immediately after using an item or sprite skill, it will fail and leave me with an uncharged blitz or bomb. Perhaps this is the source of the issue. Thanks for bringing it to light Zeddy!
