Every time I plant a Deadly Dark Matter Bomb, my Maskeraith should be able to eat the shards and gain heat from it. Drakon can eat Deadly Shard Bomb and Seraphinx can eat Scintillating Sun Shards.

On serious note:
It could give heat depending on it's tier. Also, it should deplete some appetite.
