I am fairly confident that I will be able to return the investments. If not, I have 400 dollars to back it up by buying CE if another update screws us all over.

Also, I'm confident that the deposits from the permanent quitters would be enough to back up everybody's deposits for at least half a year. Additionally, if they ever remove the no-trading policy for alchemized items, I will be able to turn a HUGE profit every day just from UV'd items.

The investment service is open for all. I'm simply encouraging people taking a break to deposit so that their funds don't stagnate and depreciate.

No. I promise on my soul this is not a ponzi scheme. Also, I have full rose regalia, along with some pretty expensive equips. Why would I want to risk a ban? It's my only account, and I love this game. Also, the interest I'm proposing is not ludicrously high at all. In fact, it is very doable. Unfortunately though, I cannot reveal my investments. This is because others would cash in, and the window of opportunity would quickly die, resulting in weakened profits.

Don't want to spook you, but a proper ponzi scheme wouldn't hurt any of the first investors. No, it's the people in the end who lose. So, an investment of any sort right now wouldn't be of any harm. I hope that didn't raise any more doubts.

Also, I'm pretty sure the ingame Admins would bust me if I was running a ponzi scheme. They don't want me to cause people to quit.

However, Adam, I am willing to invest your funds for you during your temporary hiatus (wink wink). And yes, I do agree with your post about the current problems Spiral Knights has. No, I will not be quitting. I think that OOO will see the light soon enough and change this update. How could they not, with nearly unanimous dissent amongst the players?

I'm not giving up! There are MANY successful player-initiated banks in various mmorpgs, and I think that a bank could be created in Spiral Knights too.

One of the signs that a game is maturing is that experienced players begin to help the community through charitable or low-profit services. Such services give a sense of community to the game, give other (and newer) players better experiences, and make the game worth playing. That is what I am trying to achieve. I can make a profit already through the market, but I can't make it for the community.

I know that you have doubts about my trustworthiness. Due to the nature of in-game banks, that is inevitable. However, before everybody voices complaints, I must ask:

What are you doing to improve this game?

P.S. I plan on finding a good ingame market analyst to replace me if I'm decide to take a break or quit. One person should never be operating the bank.

I am maturing the game's community, and making life easier for players in general. I am showing that player-initiated efforts can make a difference, and that WE THE PLAYERS can make this game great. That is what I'm doing.
