So when I caught wind of the system of recipes that makes use of the lower level crystals we don't need anymore, I was frankly elated. The idea was completely sublime and was a perfect way to make use of all 221 Warm Fire Crystals that I would prefer be Glowing Fire Crystals.

However, as great an idea it is, it kinda needs to WORK first. :/

As opposed to using say a cracked fire crystal to make a Dim Fire Crystal, it's the -other- way around. Rather, downgrading higher level crystals into lower level crystals.

...please tell me this wasn't actually what you had in mind.

And as long as we're at it, any chance we can get a similar system for Orbs of Alchemy? I mean, as long as they're forever bound to us, let's make some use of the dang things, huh?

This is so high level players aren't forced to do lower levels to heat a new item.
Someone that plays T3 on elite would get bored if he needs to heat a new 3* item and has to play T2 for the crystals.

The reverse system does fix a problem just not the one you have.

In light of that comment, I guess the addition isn't as bad as I thought, but I still wish there was a way to clean out those lower level crystals. They can't be unbound, and anything 2 star or lower is essentially useless.

Conversely, they need a similar system with orbs.

I personally have 326 warm fire crystals that i can literally NEVER use and would like to get rid of but i can't.Vendors don't take it, it's auto bound because it's not from the supply depot and this new system instead of helping me use them up just helps me make MORE of these stuffs.We need a workaround with this system to be able to do the reverse of what's currently in the game, and fast.

Both views are valid. I'm just saying it would be better to have both options available as separated recipes if possible.

So where do we get the recipe for shining and glowing

these fire crystals are what I need for my current gear, and without them, I am literally stuck, I've been all over the place to find them, and only found them once with a buddy, I need at least 100 of the darn things at this point.

You get them by doing missions. But they won't solve your problem. You craft fire crystals with more fire crystals :P
