So, I just came up with this little idea that's not all that necessary/important, but I'll throw it out there anyway. The idea is when you submit a topic, and it goes into preview mode, the forum will search your title, and provide links of topics posted with X amount of time (say 1 month) that share keywords. It would appear between the actual message and the preview at the top saying something along the lines of "Before you submit this topic, are you sure the information your looking for cannot be found in these topics provided?" And then there would be a list of 3 or so topic links. The links would open a new tab.
Of course, we have a search function for this very purpose but Idk, maybe people forget or something. Actually, I'm not even sure if this forum can support such a format without re-writing a bunch of code or something... Well, again just throwin it out there.
Edit: It seems you actually don't have to go through preview mode to submit a topic. I guess that's only for quick reply. Maybe, a prompt could come up just before save? That'd seem annoying though. Oh well, the suggestion still stands.
I like this. We may want a tagging system too like a tag bar so you could put "#suggestion #weapon balancing #colab list".
