So, if you curse somebody, instead of killing them, just freeze/stun them if possible. Killing them will make the time of them being useless to their team shorter. Only kill them if they are capping and refuse to get out of the point.

I had to say this because I see people mindlessly killing cursed targets.

but...but...

You will lose your hard earned damage D:
Lockdown isn't about disabling the other team, it's about earning damage by massacring them and making them rage!

No. Damage is just a statistic that does not matter, your real goal should be to win a fun, haterless match.
What if I had the most caps, but the least damage? What if the rest of my team had just 3 caps? LD is about capping, not about damage.

win? pshh.

I used to think the fun in LD was winning. Now I realize the fun in winning LD only comes when the games matter, which will only happen in RLD when they implement a non-pointless ranking system. For now, only winning GvG matters. RLD is about having fun playing, provided you aren't ****ing over your whole team in the process.

I realized it would be fun winning in lockdown if there was a ladder/ranking system like in League of Legends. Personally on RLD I would rarely cap, and I would just go for damage since I get nothing for winning (and I like big numbers <3). But if there was a ladder system, I would cap like crazy and anything to get up to get up on the rankings (current system is pretty bad, does not reward you in any way, does not show players skills or statistics, does not reward player with high win ratio or high level of skills, it can be easly exploited and no one pays attention to it).

@Cano

The only problem with that is it would encourage "cheap tactics" like 6-player polaris/VT spawn camping. And with no custom organized teams to compete it, LD would become a spamfest.

Personally, I'd find it highly interesting to see such tactics. Imagine three bombers going with eachother. A Nitro, a BAB, and an Irontech. Would be pretty hard to touch them, no?

!

Canozo has a very good point. I'm a sucker for trying to play the game for team victory though... to each his own.
