When there was the "Birdsong Trading Co. Giveaway" and hoping I was the lucky knight
When the official soundtrack was released
When 2nd Gen Rose Regalia came out
When the Twins were built up by gremlins
When steam trading came out for SK
When the long awaited lockdown came out and I realised I wasn't good enough
When there were half cost elevator fee events
When accessories were introduced and started a major marketing frenzy
When shadow lairs came out. And when I saw one doing the normal basil run
When OOO was acquired by Sega
When sonic suits came out when 1.8k CE was an unfathomable amount to me
When dragon wings came out
Looking at Xairathan's costume in awe
When love auras were released
When valk wings were released
When mirrored lockboxes were introduced
When missions ruined community and recipe trading
The dawn of hammer spammers
When the rich shelled out 30k CE for the new crowns of winter and summer
When before UV locking I only saw 1 item with double max
When cat tails and hideous extra vertical vents were released
When offensive LD bomber lost their favorite weapon
When the Guardian Armor pack was released
When the hideous hunter gear came out and people still bought it
The extremely cool surge promo
When monster pockets first came out
When guildhalls become personalized
When I was one of the few that had a BKC after the first Kat event. And how I later sold it cheap to a friend when I went on hiatus
COMMING BACK TO SK
When I logged on and realized the UI was redone to confuse vets
sprites being released 1 week later and mist was removed forever
When everyone hated the forge and still does while I actually like it
And...WAY TOO MANY COUNTLESS MEMORIES WITH FRIENDS

When BN came out and people actually filled the bribe meter(that's how I got most of my 15 bombheads lol)
When there were no heart trinkets and LD was kind of balanced.
When Winterfest prize boxes were buyable with Krogmo coins and I spent 2k coins on them.
When Lockdown Loons was the best T2 guild
When all the monsters got nerfed
When CE dropped from 9.7k to 6.5k in one day because of the GH update
When the April 3rd Patch Discussion thread became the second most discussed thread in GD in less than a month

When accessories were introduced and started a major marketing frenzy-Yes but I was generally uninterested at first
When shadow lairs came out. And when I saw one doing the normal basil run-Yes, basil runs were annoying not finding that recipe.
When OOO was acquired by Sega-Yes.

Looking at Xairathan's costume in awe-Didn't see it.

When the rich shelled out 30k CE for the new crowns of winter and summer-Yep.
When before UV locking I only saw 1 item with double max-Indeed.
When cat tails and hideous extra vertical vents were released-I think extra vertical vents (bunny ears) are cool! :P
When offensive LD bomber lost their favorite weapon-Shards :c
When the Guardian Armor pack was released-Yep
When the hideous hunter gear came out and people still bought it-Yep

When monster pockets first came out-Meow
When guildhalls become personalized-Second best update (after Sprites)

Except this was never true for tier 3, love lockets were WAY more unbalanced than the way things are now.

I remember when there was 3K+ people online in SK on steam when the battle sprites came out.

I remember when people didn't use the Swiftstrike Buckler.

I haven't seen Xairathan in a long time...

Xair was debatably the best Recon that has ever stepped on the cradle, at least back when I was playing LD. No idea about nowadays (for I gave up on LD long ago).

EDIT**
This was back when:
- Alchemer Switching didn't exist
- Shadowsun only gave +dam low and had pierce resist
- The Perfect Mask of Seerus and the Warmaster's Rocket Hammer did not exist
- Chaos only gave low bonuses (or if you're going really far back, it was just a low damage boost. If you go even further back, it becomes even more absurd than it is now)
- The 4* Radiant Sun Shards were the weapon of choice for many bombers. It even got buffed in damage at one point, which allowed it to instagib a knight, even if you were a Skolver Guardian with two penta-heart pendants (assuming you were silly enough to step on it when it detonates).

Also, who here remembers when invincibility frames disappeared for like a week? Those days were terrorized by insta-gibbing Blitz Charges from offscreen, and stun-locking Cutters.

Oh gosh, that week with no invincibilty frames was insane. Also Troika charges were deadly. Any games with Violaviolin were frightening...that blitz.

Ooh, that invincibility week... that was fun. Forgot about that. I had Dusker and 4* swords at the time and dipped into T3... bad timing :o
I would love if they did that again for another week or even permanently. Opens up so many more counters and playstyles.

@Khas: Those were rare. And, I was mainly playing T2 at the time (still do), so that wasn't a factor. After that Frostbite/Heart trinks update, all I could do was stare at the strikers on my team with 2 more bars than my guardian health. And the guardians with 19.

Oh right, one other thing I remember: THE OLD UI. Where you could actually see how much health your team had, n'stuffs.

Add the UI change, don't know why I skipped that. Xairathan, Was a great LD player, and a really popular merchant with a stunning costume that has a value of about 200k CE. She still lurks about now and again

Snarby release - Perfect timing for me, it was like the week I joined lol.

Twins release - I remember it being extremely laggy and hard, so I always just did JK instead xP

SL release - reading the announcement and thinking "wait did they change all the bosses before I got to fight them" before realizing they just added them a second time

Accessories release - "oh, these things are pointless, no one will care" - how wrong I was

Missions release - thinking "NOO OOO WHY IT WAS UNIQUE AND NOW YOU MADE IT HAVE QUESTS JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER MMO D:" (yes I thought this even when I was only T1.75)

OCH release - same as above :P

GH update - first reaction: "Yay Severage's thread did a thing!" second reaction: "OMG CE DROPPED 3K BUY BUY BUY"

BS announcement - same as missions+OCH. Seeing a pattern?

BS release - "Yay the arcade is revived!" Followed by a week of grinding . The most fun week in the history of my time playing SK, for me. No mist + arena hopping = win.

That sounds pretty awesome actually. Suppressive fire outside of polaris spam could be good for the game, and cutters having some use in PvP sounds pretty awesome.

Yeah. Although I'll one up you and say remember when Tier 3 was legitimately scary? Kind of miss that sense of danger in the clockworks... free elevators and SoL definitely hurt that feeling.

Yeah it was kinda awesome for a little while... but then things just got out of hand. You already died INCREDIBLY quickly before, but then people were insta-gibbing entire teams with a single Blitz Charge. It became a game of "whoever hits first will win" as soon as people figured out the broken weapons.

Funny how Chris is still (in)famous, yet hardly anyone ever mentions Danizpsycho. They sold everything they had to get a Darkfang with Sleep Max. Then they did it again, also with Sleep Max. Then AGAIN for a total of three Darkfangs. (sadly the 3rd had only Sleep Med)

Remember the emoticon experiment? patch notes 3/22/12: Smilies typed into chat may be transformed into an appropriate emote.

I think someone above is referencing the time when one (1) person glitched out and was able to buy unlimited Ce for like 1 cr. It caused massive economic damage almost instantly. OOO said that most of it was bought on the AH and used in UV crafting and refused to do a gametime rollback, to the chagrin of some.

Pink and blue blob glitch in BN and LD.

It sounded great, and people wanted it to stay around... But you know that frustration you got when you first got isnta-killed by a Gran Faust in t3 Lockdown? Now make it so every single person was able to insta-kill you, regardless of your armor/trinkets, and could do so without any visual queue on screen.

Once people figured out what weapons abused the lack of invincibility frames, this is what lockdown became for those few days.

SK came out for steam (still havent' got the hat yet :/).

Twins came out and wrecked me.

When I got mauled by a tortodrone.

When the arcade had people in it.

When I got my spiral bombhead (one of my favorite hats in the game).

When I saw an impostocube for the first time.

When there was a big emptiness where the AH is.

When the giveaways were in full swing (I stayed up until like two in the morning for three days straight trying to get energy).

When energy prices were over 10k.

When I got my first nemesis box (got a 1 uv ticket)

When I crafted my first piece of 3* gear (THE GRINDING....TORTURE)
