We could have an enemy that was invisible and under the undead catagory the way you would see it would be by its trails of footprints and dust being left behind? The way to fight it would be to put it in darkness and keep it there to have it sprout out of the ground and continue walking in a more vulnerable and viewable fassion. It would be neutral at first until provoked and would display a mean nasty attack that was hard to counter by swords but easy to counter by bombs or guns. It would be a more advanced with attacks if provoked more or weakened throwing projectiles (not just limited to orbs but also other items i.e bones or stones off the ground) dash attacks, teleporting nake- err i mean attacks and would have a mean detonation at death.

What Im thinking is it should have a name called the "Gate Keeper" because it would usually have a key on hand or something to weigh down a gate with a pressure plate. If more then one are found they would all need to be killed to provide bits of keys or weights.

In other news this could be a cool way to introduce battle weapons such as spears or scythes which even though are not exactly battle weapons can hold their own in battle form.

Now debate time let the war be great but the blood little because I am a bit squeamish if I do say so myself.

@Neilpalad

That has next to nothing to do with this suggestion.

That's like someone writing a whole paragraph detailing a new shadow damage gun that fires rapidly and has a small chance of dealing stun on each hit, and you saying "We already have a Callahan".

You must be using your brandish wrong. There's this thing called charge attacks that remove any difficulty swords might have.

lol derp

Might be a bit derpish at first but isn't there an evade system against mechaknights where they will shield against your charge attack? Or what about develites? The most agitating enemies for many new players in the clockworks who can evade almost everything and anything you throw at them have a chance to evade the brandish line as well. Its happened to me before and while its annoying to deal with Its easily countered with bombs, and trolaris spaming (which can take fricken forever.) As for guns and bombs it could have a defense/evade system against guns but then there would be no point to bringing a gun along if you have a 1 of 100 chances of hitting the darn dashing nemesis.

I guess since the majority of all the enemies in the clockworks have an evade system for guns I find it kinda pointless to not introduce a enemy that will counteract a sword, kinda like minis in a sense only the Gate Keeper wont be a swarm enemy just a very tactful enemy against swordsmen which again will force the player to want to bring new weapons along to counteract a foe.
