Because I hate Compounds. Specifically Creeping Colonies. Specifically the final room.

Glop Drops are one of the most annoying enemies in the game. They spawn in huge packs, if you even touch them they deal damage and (if they can) status to you. They have low health but they can still deal stupid damage to you before they go down.

In this final room, there's several spots where they continually spawn in. They're aided by Greavers and Silkwings of all things. Howlitzers cover them while they rush at you with their stupid "attack mode," and you end up treading all over them and afflicted with status. You have to fend off all of this while going down relatively narrow corridors between their spawn spots, kill the Howlitzers and Greavers, as well as a Lumber, then you need to manage to get two keys to the end and run through.

OOO, you made the perfect broken area.

1) Put away your lame sword lpadout.
2) Buy a Nitronome.

Problem solved.

Hexing Haze
Ash of Agni
Nitronome
Graviton Vortex
Electron Vortex
Shocking Salt Bomb
Gran Faust
Biohazard
Barrier pickups
Shield bashing

These are all items that will counter glop drops in no particular order. I'm sure there are more.

I have had people pull both of these on me

How to beat a compound (must be party leader):

1: Bring the following items:
A maskeriath with shadow cloak.
Several friends (preferably ones you don't mind losing).

2. When you get to the final room, cloak.

3. Let your now ex-friends clear the room, while you stay away from the mini-mob spawn points.

4. Repeat as needed.

Alternatively:
Die twice, and refuse to revive yourself until the rest of the party clears the level.

But, seriously, we do have a rant forum. It's called "Suggestions". Enter at your own risk.

As for your problem, a good bomb helps a lot. Also try ignoring enemies and just clearing the level.
