MASSIVE Obsidian graveyard glitch

Now I was sadly unable to debug why these things kept happening. But when I booted up SK today to try out the new event. I found my computer was hit with multiple glitches. ONLY while in the Obsidian graveyard areas.

These glitches were:

The game forcing itself to close on it's own, in reaction to doing something. Twice when I tried to use my Shade's abilities. Once while lighting a blue candle to spawn a material. And once when simply swinging a sword.......
These game crashes had no error report to them. No error popups. Nothing. The game would just completely close. Though relaunching the game would cause it to instantly log me back into my knight and back right in where I was when the game closed itself. Normally dead though because I was still taking damage dispite having crashed.

Massive text glitching. I took many screenshots of this.....
These glitches only started once I reached the first Obsidian graveyard. The first level/trap, actually mission elevator and the floor after that were completely fine. Only once I got to the graveyard did things go downhill.
Errors continued though on the floor after the first Obsidian graveyard. And the Second Obsidian graveyard as well, where I ended up stopping, having chosen I had collected enough screenshots.

Screenshots Number 6, 14, 15 22, and 24 are the worst ones. At least to me.

And finally. Graphical glitching. Some are notable in the screenshots above. Mostly just the Vitapod image being messed up. But the other ones were ones I could not screenshot. It was basically just monsters, in this case mostly just the Souls you needed to beat up to earn tokens, would flash. Going visible to invisible every half a second or so. As things got worse and worse this blinking would get faster. This mostly happened at the end of my "adventure" before I choose to finally stop collecting screenshots. After 4 game "crashes".

I hope all of this is helpful. This was all collected from 7-8 pm on October 23~

To add onto that

When ever I get the game closing itself. Opening Spiral Knights would crash the game once again. Also to be a bit more specific about the graphical errors: Switching my weapons made a heart icon appear, text bubbles would appear a bit shaded at the top and bottom, text was scrambled, and I saw nothing on the minimap (Not sure if that last one was intentional or not).

Auto-Closed AGAIN

The automatic closing is afflicting me quite constantly, and I would please like to formally and politely request that Three Rings fix their [scrap].

In response to Megapon: Those

In response to Megapon: Those graphical glitches were occuring for me as well. But happened after I had posted this and didn't care to add even more screenshots to the already sizable list. A heart, the revival heart, blank space, and a potion all had replaced the icons of the weapons at one point. As well as text boxes in general being heavily garbled and scrambled. I just found the heavy corruption of the windows and such more important to show.

I also got all of this to occur while within Haven. Noticing it when the preview images for my gear had dropped to an extremely low quality without textures. Even showing accessories that were not on the item. Like dual plums, mechantenas, maid band, and a feather on a Stranger hat at once. No idea what had triggered it that time as I was no even within the window when this occured.

It FEELS like it could be an error with graphic cards. As my laptop experiences it a lot more then my home Desktop. But at the same time none of these errors ever occured before this year's Halloween update. And I know my Home Desktop should not be having these problems because it is built to be a budget powerhouse. And never had these problems in the past since I had built it. Only just now with Spiral knights.

ok, I will try and be a bit

ok, I will try and be a bit of help. ok, heres what i see in your screenshots, rendering issues, what I want to know before i even begin to aid help.

PC Specs:
CPU
Video Card
Amount of ram
Hard Drive Space and is it full?
operating system
if you can provide more that can also be helpful.

SK Settings;Video:
Screen Resolution
Graphics Quality

and do you have anything in Advanced Checked and what is Anti-aliasing set to?

With out starting at that area trying to help you fix your issue is merely impossible. Also it looks like your running a very small screen resolution from the screenshots.

also can you specify what screenshots are from your home pc vs your laptop.

PC specs. Laptop coming later.

Posted screenshots are from my brand new laptop. However typing this at college I can't find the specs for it right now. Most I can say right now on that is that it's a Windows 8 profession Intel i5 Dell.

However I have gotten just as many errors on my PC which, while it is a budget build, is plenty strong enough. Which is a duplicate of one of this
==> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6olutcuXHc&list=SPADA5B91FFC11D251
A PC build designed by someone who knows what he is talking about.
Basically being a Windows 8, Intel i3 PC with a Wifi adapter.

Spiral Knight settings are at High, however advanced settings are set to as low as possible, as I don't exactly care for those. So things like Anti-aliasing is at the lowest.
Screen resolution is at default, windowed, it appears low because I play through Steam. Screenshots were collected through Steam as well. Found it easier to make the links to Dropbox instead rather then linking each one to my profile.

Getting Worse

The automatic closing is getting worse, and I'm even getting lag that I wasn't even getting before. I feel like Three Rings is just spiting us by not answering, because they don't seem to be keen on reassuring us that they're on the case. Don't they have Public Relations as well as Technical Support? Tech Support could work on it while PR tells us of the fact. They could even have just one person make an announcement. "Hey, one of you go put up something saying we're at least working on a solution." Is simple reassurance so hard?

Neoretro......

Don't say that. That's just silly and a little ignorant. I know personally they have great technical support. The problem is that unless plenty of people are reporting the same problem there isn't enough data to go off. Developers can't just jump at every report. You have to think about the situation from the way they are looking at it. This is the main reason I had made this thread. To bring more attention to the bug and draw more people out to state if/what is happening to them on their sides.

As ShortnStubby brings up, it is possible it could be a technical problem on the computer and not them. And there is no way for them to know if the problem is actually your computer.

If you feel the problem is getting ignored, take screenshots. Document it. Use Paint and Screenprints if that is what you need to do to collect screenshots of the errors. The more data on the subject. Even if it is the same thing over and over is still helpful. The point is the quantity of PEOPLE reporting it.

If three people report a problem it looks more like a technical problem on their side to a developer.
If 10,000 people report a tiny bug, it is looks a bit more notable because more people are experiencing it, making it more likely to be a problem in the code. And not just a problem with your own computer.

Make sure each time you get a significant bug/error you are using the bug report command in game as well. As those are normally seen sooner then a forum post and much easier then going through the trouble of manually making a ticket (Have made a ticket once ).

I may have found something.

I may have found something. I right-clicked Spiral Knights in the Task Manager and clicked "Go To Process". Upon doing so, I realized that the process, Java, was taking up over a million K of memory, when Skype, Steam, and Firefox each have maybe half of that AT MOST. Perhaps there is a memory leak that occurs more commonly within the Grasping Plateau levels, and when it reaches the maximum memory capacity, it forces a close to protect the computer from overusing memory This is only a theory, but it seems fairly likely.
