Honestly, I think this entire system is completely ridiculous. When your item levels up, it can't actually level up until you forge fire crystals into it, and you can't do that unless you're at a town or arsenal station. And depending on the tier of the weapon and the level, the cost of forging can get up to ridiculous amounts, and not only that, but fire crystals don't even drop that often! What were you thinking, OOO? Now I don't even want to bother leveling weapons anymore because it's just too difficult.
Remove the heat forging system
the only crystals that aren't dropping are 5* crystals.
the forge was to balance free elevators, how do you balance that?
I would've made the entire heating system based only only the Forge, instead of heating up in the Clockworks then needing to pay Crystals to level up. How so? Simples.
Each Y Crystal gives X Heat to a corresponding Y Star Equipment.
Each level of Y equipment requires N heat.
Each subsequent level requires more Heat to level up.
You can use the Forge to sacrifice LOW, MED, and MAX amounts of Crystals into a piece of equipment. When enough Heat has been sacrificed the equipment levels up. And [redact] the Forge Boxes and Double Level-ups and +25% Heat Bonus.
I agree with Dali... I completely miss the time before free elevators.
Well, it's either we get mist energy back and free heating with nothing to stop you or free elevators and forge.
I completely agree with Ghret. Remove heat and increase the drop rate of the crystals so we won't have to be bothered with wasted heat energy from not being able to level weapons and gear.
As it is, Heat Amplifiers are much less useful than they were. If at all. The only way you could make the most of a heat amplifier would be to have a large stack of crystals on the get-go before starting heating items. The faster you heat a weapon, the shorter it is to forge it, but if you're going to have to collect crystals afterward then you are wasting precious time that deduct the duration of the amplifier. And the price they go for their effect is incredibly unappealing:
800 Energy for 2 Days.
1600 Energy for 7 Days.
5000 Energy for 30 Days
It's quite evident that OOO will not pull the Forge from the game, but they could do something far simpler and more beneficial to the cause of an underused item. Heat Amplifiers could work just as the elevator pass did: override the cost of regular progression and advance at your own leisure. That is, enable the ability to level up items as you would prior to the Mist Energy removal for a given period of time.
I would like to discuss the viability of this idea.
Blame the one who complain about mist energy =(
threads like this make me wanna slam my face into the pavement.
think about it like this, if three rings removed the forge, everyone would be 5* within 10 hours since the old energy wall for elevators is gone. this is the tradeoff. we get elevators for life, but to keep us from going 2fast, they gave us the forge.
really the only problem is the lack of radiant crystals, before this, everything was fine. they dont need to remove the forge entirely
