Hallo, my in-game name is Gr-Sav and here is my problem: I want to put defend on left shift while I have accepted the WASD Movement but it just won't let me, I just press the button in controls to change it and when i click left shift nothing happens.

It's because Left Shift is supposed to be a modifier key. You're supposed to hold that and hit X for the shield bash, Z for the dash.

I have LShift set as my shield key. I think you just have to change the modifier key first before you can rebind it to something else.

Yeah, I just had to change my modifier key. I didn't know that existed actually since I first downloaded SK with the old controls (before dash and shield bash), and I reinstalled the game on a different computer, so I had to change the controls around a lot. Thanks for the help.
I am also having the same problem. I want to set the "toggle auto-target" as left shift, but it won't work. Every other button can be used, but not the left shift button, and no control seems to be able to be set to left shift.
