I wasn't able to screenshot it, but when seeing someone wearing the halo at a distance, the halo isn't visible... instead its like a cloud of countless white squares. Not really sure how to describe it other than that... I'll provide a screenshot if I manage to see it again.

Doesn't happen to me, could it be a graphical setting issue? Possibly AA's fault?

hmm

It's random, it doesn't glitch 100% of the time. It randomly starts at the load of a map. Sometimes the camera angle changing triggers it too. Distance also plays a factor in it as well.

@Zaffy-Laffy: Happens on all

@Zaffy-Laffy: Happens on all the graphics settings for me. And it couldn't possibly be my graphics card or computer since I recently got a new one with the best of specs that I could afford. AA as in Auto Aim? I'm not sure how that even makes sense.

AA as in Anti Aliasing, whereby AA could possibly delete those small little blue lines that represent the Halo.

This happens on almost every GPU card I've seen. AMD/Nvidia/Intel seem affected. It happens on all gfx modes and AA doesn't seem to affect it.

Am I crazy?

Surely the company wouldn't knowingly sell an unfixed accessory two years after its initial release in a still broken state.

Since we're necroing old, overdiscussed issues for a whinge...

Surely the company wouldn't knowingly ignore a horrendously optimized game with bad netcoding, memory leaks, and no non-promotional updates?

Difference being polar halos are pay items, and the comment above implies it's hard to believe they didn't know the product was defective before selling it again for real money. People can be ok with waiting valve time for fixes on free stuff, but the issue at hand is quality control on items you sell for real money.

The whole game is defective. It's had so much stuff stacked on it over time that it's rickety. I thought you of all people would have realised by now that the developers aren't doing anything about it, so get used to it. The only things they'll fix are item name mixups, and pricing errors, because that seems to be the extent to which they can do without causing the whole game to collapse in on itself.

That's part of the reason I haven't given them a dime in over a year. :U

If you google the company though, they do have employees, it's just that particular upper management folk don't value SK enough to fix.
