I understand this game is an MMO but for some who see it more then that it does get annoying when you just want to play the game and be left alone. There needs to be a better option besides ignoring your entire friends list or something around that manner. Since Offline mode is a 0% chance why not put a private mode in?
Players in private mode can:
Have the option to login via private mode or public mode.
Have the option to stay invisible so others cant bother them (or be checked if randomly clicked on)
Have the option to view whos online guild and friend wise.
Play parties by themselves without worrying about others asking to invite or randoms joining (perfect if you're a popular player and dont like having this issue)
Have the option to select public mode mid game.
PM players if you dont exactly feel like chatting with that one person in your friends list that day.
Can disable chatlog
Players in private mode cannot:
Contact other players by any means other then mail or PM
Invite other players to parties.
Send friend requests.
Send guild invitations.
Send trades.
Play lockdown or blast network.
Cannot join public mode when in a mission or haven.

Everything else for that matter stays the same players can grind lut all they want with no worries. Post stuff in AH and sell stuff to merchants they are just...invisible.
I had no qualms with playing online mode and just ignoring people, also,
Create Public Party: Choose this if you are not picky about who joins your party.
Create Private Party: Choose this if you want your party to be restricted to only friends and guild members.
