Well seeing as there isn't much time left in January to release the Gunner Update if it does actually get released in January, Wouldn't it make sense to put it on the test server? IMO that thing should be used for more than a week before a release. :P

Who said they'd release it in January?
"Due Dates" (Deadlines) are not a concern of OOO, according to what Drac uncovered.

They said that. And either way, even if it's not planned for release soon a test server opening wouldn't hurt.

Also, what did Drac uncover? :o

Draycos uncovered that OOO doesn't really take deadlines seriously. You know how in those movies, people are like:

"OMG I HAZ 17 HRS LEFT TO FINISH EVERYONE GET COFFEE WORK WORK WORK WORK"

Not with OOO. Which I appreciate, since it's less errors.

While it may be true that "a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad", a game/update that is pushed back and back And back (ie, watch dogs) just loses hype and gets an anticlimactic release. Continually pushing a release back can also lead to the team just getting downright lazy and instead of taking their time to make sure everything is as good as possible and released "when it's ready", taking longer than they have to on an update/game because they know their deadlines are completely artificial. (I am an offender of this myself, in other situations.) So while knowing that it's okay to delay for a little while is good and shows that they care about the quality of the game, they really shouldn't be setting "deadlines" and continually ignoring them.

But still, as I said in Post #2. Even if it's not close to release, a test server run would only help.
