Some of you probably know me from lockdown,since im an active EU player,and some of you know me from The Halcyons Odyssey!
We can all notice,that this game is slighty dying.A lot of people quit the game,became inactive,and not so many people are joining game and staying active(until vanguard at least).This is not only problem in Spiral Knights,a lot of games are dying.Game masters,and game developers are trying hard to keep this game alive,with updates,new weapons,events.They are doing great job,but i think that we need something new that will encourage teamwork,logic and skill more.I asked a lot of people why they still play spiral knights?76% of them said because of people in it.And i have to agree with that.This game has good people in it,we are not like other gamers from other games (not gonna name them,but you probably heard about them) that have annoying underage kids that are trying to be ,,trolls,, or such.So,lets think about it.I think we need new mode in game,that will encourage teamwork,logic and skill.
My idea is to bring out GUILD WARS.In further text i will explain how it should work (i hope you guys say what do you think,or what would you change,what would you like to see in that mode.)
Lets start with the basics.
There are 2 guilds in war.One guild is attacking,while other guild is defending.
-What should guild do to start guild war(attacking guild)?-
1.They need to have 8 people ready (sign up) for battle.
2.After 8 people are ready for battle,GM or officer can declare war to other guild
2a.There are 2 types of declaring a war to other guild.First type is ,,brutal war,, where if attackers win the battle,they get 50% of defending(guild that lost battle)storage crowns.If they do it in less then 3 min.(Will explain how time functions further in text)they get to choose one thing from officers/members/veterans storage of defeated guild.They can take only one thing,no mather is it material,gear or weapon.To declare ,,brutal war,, guild that attacks needs to pay 30 000cr.In brutal war,side that wins gets 50 000 from spiral knigths system put in guild treasury too.
Other type of declaring a war is ,,peaceful training war,, where if attackers win the battle,they get nothing from defending guild,and time doesnt matter,its just mode for fun.But,attackers still need to pay 10 000cr.
3.When GM or officer declares a war,he chooses a option when is war gonna begin.He can choose,8 hrs from declaring war time,12 hrs from declaring war time,and 24 hrs from declaring war time.
4.All 8 people that signed up for battle are put on positions randomly(Will explain how positions function further in text)
4a.Only GM or officer can move signed up members from position to position.
4b.He cant move them 1hr before battle.
5.If attacking guild wins the battle,it cant attack same guild 3 days(So there would be no farming)
6.If attacking guild loses the battle,it can attack same guild 24 hrs after war is finished.
7.If attacking guild wins the battle,it can attack next guild 24 hrs after war is finished.
8.When GM or officer declares war,he chooses what mobs will help in war(Will explain how mobs in this mode function further in text)
9.If,when attack is starting,some warriors are not online,they are replaced with some knight mobs with their strenght.
9a.Mobs should be strenght 1.Less then knight elite 2.Knight elite 3.Defender/defender elite. 4.Champion/vanguard.Mobs that help attacking guild have valiance and nitronome line,bassed on their rank,and they just try to kill defending guilds warriors.
9b.He can choose what mobs to help attacking 1hr after battle.
-What should guild do to start a defense againts attacking guild)-
1.After war is declared,GMs and officers get a message with information when will war be,who is it against,and what war is it.
2.Guild needs 8 people ready (signed up) for battle.
2a.If guild doesnt have 8 people ready (signed up) for battle,knight mobs replace them.Mobs cost:1.Less then knight elite(2500cr) 2.Knight elite(4000cr) 3.Defender/defender elite(6000cr) 4.Champion/vanguard(7500cr)
3.Depending on what war is it, ,,brutal war,, or ,,peaceful war,, depends what will guild get for reward after successful defending.If ,,brutal war,, they dont lose anything and get 50 000cr from spiral knights system put in guild treasury.If ,,peaceful war,, they get nothing.
4.When people sign up for battle,they are put randomly in positions.
4a.GM and officer can move members from position to position.
4b.He cant move them 1hr before battle.
5.If guild that defends itself wins the battle,they can attack 12 hrs after war is over.
6.If guild that defends itself loses the battle,they have protection 3 days after war is over.
7.If guild that defends itself wins the battle,they have protecion 12 hrs after war is over.
8.When GM or officer reads declaration,he chooses what mobs he should put for defending(Not talking about knight mobs).
8a.He can choose what mobs to help defending 1hr before battle.
Thats it in details.If i missed something,say it,i will edit it and make it right.If there is something about this you dont understand,feel free to feedback and i will explain it to you.
Before we get to part where i explain how war functions,something more about it.
-Why would guild want to attack other guild-
1.For money
2.For fun
3.For competition
And 4,because the guild that had most wins in attacks is attacking guild of the week,and gets 200 000cr in guild treasury.
Same goes for defending guild.Guild that had most defends is defending guild of the week,and gets 200 000cr in guild treasury.
-What happens if i die during war?-
You dont rev,you can continue exploring the clockworks or watch how the war is going-
Now,the best part.How this actually functions?

-Attackers mission-
1.Destory defendings guild last stand base in less then 15 mins.
-Defenders mission-
1.Defend guilds last stand base 15 mins.
2.Kill all attackers knights.
3.Destory others guild main last stand base.
(If attacker or defender accomplish mission/s they automaticly win battle)
Point is to destroy others guild main base heart pretty much.Guilds main base hearts have 5500hp.

GM or officers of attacking guild put 3 people on every wing,and 2 people in main base.
GM or officers of defending guild put 3 people on every wing and 2 people in main base.

Mobs first try to destroy others teams mobs,and players(attackers or defenders)choose if they are going to try to help your team mobs or go to kill others guilds players.After mobs of one team are dead,mobs of other team attack players.When one guilds warriors are dead,that match is finished,and alive players get into last main base of enemyes,regain full hp and fight last stand base of defending/attacking guild.(Point is to have at least 2 players alive so battle would be even)Same goes for other wing.Wing that finishes first goes further,and if other wing finishes later,and winners are same guild as winners in other wing,they go further and help their teamates.Not sure if this mechanism of battle is good,we can talk about it,i would like to see improvements of this idea.
Warrios enter war like guardians(slow but a lot of hp)recons(invinsible but low hp)normal shields(middle hp,middle speed)

What if the defender doesn't want to go to war? How are you going to stop bigger guilds bullying smaller guilds?
I really doubt the 15 minute mark will ever be reached if they don't respawn...
