If you encounter an Oiler (and none of the other lichens), they don't seem to ever lose sight of you and no matter how far you run from them, they will eventually catch up to you.

They even follow you when you use Shadow Cloak (Maskeraith 2nd skill).

...Maybe I should stop being a coward and fight them. But I'm a pacifist.
