Spiral Knights client closes randomly

Hey there!

My laptop fulfills all of the requirements needed to play this game. However, the game runs extremely slowly. Sometimes the client randomly closes when I'm trying to load new screens. For example, this morning when I clicked on my knight to log on, the client closed. When this happens I have to reopen it and relogin; my knight is always where I left it. It also closes when I load some missions or when I try to enter different Haven areas. I always have to reopen it and relogin, and then go through the loading screen process again.

Why does this happen and can I stop it? It's not consistent, though I suspect it has something to do with everything loading slowly. Still, it's annoying to tab out while waiting for something to load, only to find out it's going to take you double the time to login and redo the loading screen. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you :)

Can you post your machine specifications?

On a side note, just because it meets requirements does not mean it is capable to play at a higher graphic fidelity setting. Reduce the graphic quality to low, turn off vsync, turn on compatibility mode and cull transients to get a better performance rate.

Right, I'm not at all under

Right, I'm not at all under the impression that I should be able to run 8 games at once, but I should, in my opinion, be capable of running this game without it panicking or taking a full minute to load a cut scene. What specs are you looking for specifically? I have Windows 7, 2.5ghz processor, 6 GB memory, plenty of hard drive space. I recognize that I'm on a laptop and so my Graphics card isn't exceptionally amazing, but it shouldn't be shutting down the game I don't think?

I have the graphic quality already set to low and compatibility mode and cull transients were already on. I turned off vsync and it hasn't seemed to do much differently .. I actually turned them all on/off (whichever isnt supposed to help) and it worked my poor laptop harder, but everything loaded faster. I don't really know what's going on.

So what's your graphic card?

So what's your graphic card? This game can take a toll on your GC if it really just some microchip. Otherwise, it shouldn't have been a problem if you were using integrated graphics.

Otherwise, your description tells me your either your CPU or/and disk is not tolerating the game. Please post your processor family and series too, it could help.

It just says Intel HD

It just says Intel HD Graphics Family - I think it's integrated, but not sure how to find out. Intel Core i5-2450M CPU is the processor. Like I said, I understand that my laptop is not built for gaming and that scene changes will load (somewhat) slowly. But I can't understand why the game shuts down on itself constantly and would like to remedy that if possible so I don't have double the wait times.
