Question About Status Resistance Armors

I need +7 status resistance to be immune to a minor status and +10 to be immune to a moderate status. (It is difficult to find information on this and I don't know if it's accurate. Correct me if I'm wrong please.)

The very helpful Spiral Knights Wiki tells me the numerical value for each status resistance UV. (For example, High UV=3.) But the bars on armor do not tell me the numerical values and I'm not sure how to read them. Let's have a look at the Blazebreak Helm. How much fire resistance is this actually giving me?

I'm not sure about your +7 and +10, but they sound like familar numbers. You might try searching Google for something like "status immunity site:forums.spiralknights.com", if you haven't already.

Blazebreak's fire protection looks like +3 to me. How do I estimate this? I compare it to a bunch of other armors. Most of them carry +4 status resistance, when they have any at all. Snarbolax armor carries just +3. Blazebreak's bar looks like Snarbolax's.

I have tried Google to search for information and read through some old threads. That's how I ended up with +7 and +10. Thanks for the response and very useful link. Your estimate sounds very reasonable since the Snarbolax bar is the same length as Blazebreak. I hope +7 and +10 is wrong because if they're correct then a Blazebreak set won't even give me immunity to minor fire. =/

Still looking for further replies to confirm if +7 and +10 is correct or not.

+7 for Minor (such as a haze bomb in Lockdown), +9 for Moderate (Wisps on Elite)

Don't think it's possible to be immune to Strong.

In this case, a Max + High UV would be enough to resist Minor.

A full set of Vog Cub with a Low UV on one piece, or a Low bonus from another source (ex. Grand Solstice Ring) would give 4+4+1=9, which would resist Fire Wisps on Elite.

Snarbolax set with Poison/Freeze High can resist Poison/Freeze Wisps.

Etc etc.

You can tell how much resistance an armor gives just by looking at the bar. If it's half full, it gives +4, 3/8 is +3, so on.

For example, Dread Skelly gives +4 Poison and Freeze resistance, but Snarbolax only gives +3 Poison and Freeze resistance.

For general purpose, it's safe to assume most 5* armor gives +4 resistance, with a few exceptions (like Snarbolax only giving +3 resistance, or Almirian Crusader only giving +2 resistance). 4* armors generally give +3 resistance, and so on.

And yeah, 23 points of fire res, and you CAN still burn from most of the stuff... (fire max vog iz gud).
