Not saying these weapons disappear (after all you worked for them) I'm saying that as a food item/weapon they should change into an expired form.

Slightly drop the damage, add a moderate poison effect, as well as a green/brownish aura in addition to a slightly darkened colors.

After all if shooting Nog at enemies is fun shouldn't shooting expired Nog be even more fun?

Hmm...

Have this happen every time Grinchlin Assault happens, and we can "repair them" for a small fee of materials.
Either that or have us be able to "spoil" the weapons and recraft them back to their statusless state for a small fee. Perhaps we craft them into poison versions using spoiled treats and corrosive acid.

I don't really want another OE or Flamberge clone though.

Lets face it, a poison Alchemer or a Poison/piercing sword would be far more useful than a flamberge.

The alchemer would be terribly op dealing high damage to constructs and effectively rendering the menders that often travel with them useless. A poison pierce sword would be useful for fiends and beasts as silkwings travel with them (and both dodge the other poison/pierce weapon).

The poison you give would be far more useful than a fire's damage over time.

These are also from more viable lines than other poison weapons. (biohazard is fun for solo, DVS has normal damage and little flinch, VV does little damage, and the plague needle is only fairly useful in full parties)

You mean like how Obsidian Edge is definitely better than a Combuster?

Plague Needle is actually useful everywhere, it's just that Blitz outclasses it, like Acheron beats the Obsidian Edge.
