I'm actually laughing at all of these ridiculous posts that have been appearing ever since the Rage Promotion was released. I've also noticed how a large amount of new faces have also showed up in the process all regarding the same woes as everyone else. Congratulations on hopping on the bandwagon! You're just like everyone else.

It's quite evident that the staff is aware that we are quite dissatisfied. They've even noted that these promotions are already fixed in the system and such. But all this monotonous negativity is not going to help. It's like you're in school and you know you have finals, NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE THOSE, but you have to anyways. It's just something you have to deal with, but then it ends and that's that. But the suffering only lasts for so long.

For me, I have taken this opportunity for a nice, health, and small vacation from the game. How I view it: If you are not happy don't play. Playing just shows your tolerance for it even though you are unhappy. But for me, again, went away for myself, not dissatisfaction.

I bid you all a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, or night!

Nawp, if you don't like it, just get off of SK and play some other game. There are plenty of amazing F2P games which you can play.

I'll just name some for teh kids.

-D&D Neverwinter
-Dota 2
-TF2
-Tom clancy's GRP
-War of the Roses
-Fistful of Frags
-Happy Wars
-HAWKEN
-Loadout
-Magicka: Wizard Wars
-Toribash
-TrackMania Nations Forever
-World of Guns: Gun Disassembly
-You Have to Win the Game
-Corneroids
-Starmade
-CS2D
-Battlefield Heroes

There are much more but these are all I can remember. You may also want to get Origin (something similar to Steam) as there are "On the House" Games which can be obtained permanently for free but during a limited time.

Them posts and dem posters aren't going anywhere, and i think threads like these kinda revive the topic, but hey, thats just my humble opinion.

i guess that negativity and raging at the devs is a common thing that's been going for years now, it just explodes from time to time when things like this happen. So have a taste of the joy of our forums :)

I kind of halfway want the gunner update because that would be nice, but I also kind of want OOO to just trap us in the promocyle all summer long, because the salt is just too real.

I dunno what it is

But something in this game just died for me on May 22nd, according to Steam. I see these promos, and I just don't care. I've taken back to some older games, and I've even gone back to Twitch Plays Pokemon. I just don't want to touch this game for a while, but I don't know why.

Same. My friends told me I haven't been on since the 27th and I'm just not feeling it anymore. The Splash one made me come back since it was different, but after I got my costume I was satisfied, but now... Meh. The promotions would be better if they provided different apparel versus re-coloration, and *one* new item. But in the end, time goes and and so forth. I'm just glad that I'm still able to maintain communications with friends and such.

I second what Poomph said. I used to collect costumes... but now they are so common that I just don't even care. I remember back when the promos were scarce and they frequently came out with new (non-reskinned) levels and weapons. Frankly, the only thing that would get me playing levels again would be the release of actual NEW content.

If I didn't care about SK, I wouldn't voice my opinion.

I'm starting to migrate away from Spiral Knights after I began losing track of all the promotions, much like what Kura, Poomph, and Pandafishie said, albeit I still cherish this game. Maybe someday after I tire of Magicka: Wizard Wars, I'll return to check on things, but until then...

I've definitely slowed down on the game. I still go on plenty of runs, but the thrill of the game just isn't there for me, since I can't really craft new items (and successfully heat them) or do anything exciting. Its just log on, grind the levels that are good, log off, rinse and repeat forever and ever. No progress is ever made. I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything by not playing either. I mean, why buy this promotion when I can wait two years and buy this promotion but with wings added in?

I sadly have to agree.

Much of my pastimes have been wrecked and it's really boring collecting money to craft new stuff.

But then again, my "luck" has been increasing. How? I crafted a Cutter. FIRST ASI VH UV I'VE GOTTEN.
Cue soda being spit at the computer monitor in shock.

Exactly. Plus, there's always that one person who hoards items, so it is accessible "all" the time.

At this point it's more just a everlasting waiting game without the ancipation. O.o

I think the "getting tired of SK" thing ends up happening to everyone sooner or later. Especially to older players and especially because of all the promos that are being chugged out without any more info on future and actual updates updates (Be it the Gunner Update, Arcade Redux part 2 or something else - I'd be happy enough if OOO finally found a way to fix Stun lock).

Heck, I'm starting to think that the Gunner Update will end up getting some kind of Duke Nukem Forever-like reaction: so many people waiting for it, super excited, and when it finally arrives it just gets a "... meh".

That said, I've noticed that I'm becoming increasingly more sarcastic/unimpressed/disappointed with SK as time goes on. I still like the game, but there's something missing that just makes me not care about it like I did a year and a half ago. Probably the fact that getting whatever items I still don't have is such a boring grind.
