You know, compounds were created because people wanted something challenging. However nobody likes compounds, the reason?
It is challenging, yes, but not rewarding, maybe compounds are the least rewarding stages in the whole game. Would be nice if there were moar loot in thar.

I agree: after going through the most challenging level type in the arcade and only getting 2 boxes I feel a little cheated.
I disagree: moar loot boxes = the answer
Maybe something special instead? How about this: all of the mineral piles in T3 compound levels are Shiny? THAT would make people actively *want* to do compounds.
Or how about: there's a giant swirling heat pile at the end of the compound level? People who want to heat gear will do more compounds.
This is a weird one: at the end of the compound there are two elevators, and one lets your party leapfrog the next depth.
Not saying these are the best ideas, not saying they're practical for OOO to implement, not even saying I want to see them happen.
But they are unique.

Make those prize boxes.
Would put compounds more on-par with clockwork tunnels. Maybe add some sort of danger room in them too.

It isn't the sort of thing democracy is set up to handle, and goes with what I like to call the Doritos experiment: What if, we had everyone in the world vote on whether Doritos should hand out a free bag of chips, or money if people wanted them to. There is no provocation, the Doritos company just has to do this because they can afford to and why not.

The minis that do not respawn should drop loot as frequently as regular monsters. It's very underwhelming, plowing through things that do not bleed money or fire normally like the rest.
The crowns laying by the elevator at the end should to be replaced by green treasure boxes. Similarly, switches that cause crowns to appear in a room should instead create green treasure boxes.
The treasure boxes that come in a variable amount right before reaching the final room should come in red variants.
And the votes are in! 60% of people agree that we should all get free money and chips at the expense of the Dorritos company!

They give diversity to the arcade. Granted, I'd rather see much less of them in rank missions, and a better reward, but a much better idea (already suggested by Fangel but anyways) would be a free danger room, much like the ones in Clockwork Tunnels, but without the CE fee.
That way, the end part of the compound wouldn't need changing, and players who think they have the skills and gear can go into these free danger rooms for the extra boxes. The monsters that spawn would align with what the compound is of course.
Double the rewards by adding prize boxes at the very end as well as adding a few to the section just before the last bout.
