To be honest, there's too much swords and blasters in this game. What about maces and spears? Knights in the actual old time period used spears and maces to kill their enemies. Even Bows. Unless those are just Archers. Here's some weapon ideas... and stats.
1. Sniper Rifle - Long range, however most have a broken scope. Projectile can go across entire screen. Scoped weapons can help you take out enemies from afar, so long as there's no obstacle in the way. Scoped weapons have unlimited range.
2. Shotgun - Can take out enemies with 6 projectiles if close enough. Useful for Crowd Control. Better used in close quarters. The farther projectiles travel, the less damage they do.
3. Bow - Somewhat the same as the Sniper Rifle, however has no scope. Range is limited, and does not go across the entire screen. Arrows are lasers, not actual arrows with a spearhead from whatever you make arrows from.
4. Mace - Swing on enemies to stun them and bash them. Limited range. Charge attack can let you use the Mace like a yo-yo and bounce the spiked ball forward, bashing enemies over and over again. Can come with or without spikes.
5. Spear - Jab enemies with a spear instead of using a Flourish or any of it's upgraded counterparts. Charge attack lets you spin around 3-5 times, depending on the Star rating of the weapon. Star ratings below two only let you jab the weapon forward in quick succession.
6. Dual Blasters - Even if we can't get any cool things like Shotguns and Sniper Rifles, why not we dual-equip Blasters? For example, two Proto Blasters make that. Or, dual Super Stun Guns. Some weapons cannot be dual-wielded, depending on their size. Loadout must have two Blasters. Can dual-wield different blasters. Example: Zapper and Chilling Duelist.
7. Dual Swords - If we can't have more melee weapons, at least we can also have the ability to dual-wield swords. For example, dual Searing Edge or dual Tempered Calibur. Can dual-wield different swords. Example: Ascended Calibur and Flourish. Cannot dual-wield heavy Swords.
8. Machine Gun - Even though the Autogun covers this, it would be really interesting to see this. More accuracy than the Autogun instead of a spread. Can fire up to 30 shots before having to reload. Charge attack involves firing the entire clip in one blast.
9. Minigun - The second deadliest weapon. More powerful and more ammo than the Machine Gun. You move more slowly while wielding this. Has no charge attack since you already have a deadly attack.
10. Light Minigun - Has less ammo than the Minigun, but you move more faster with this. Speed is less than normal.
11. Rocket Launcher/Bazooka - The deadliest weapon in this arsenal of suggestions. Has only one shot, and packs a huge punch. No charge attack. Helps with fighting bosses, but doesn't instantly kill them. Slimes take in the rocket and spit it out, making it useless, and grants them more Attack power. Although less than the power of the Rocket Launcher/Bazooka itself, it is still deadly should you attempt to burn through the area with only a Rocket Launcher/Bazooka. Flying creatures cannot be hurt by the Rocket Launcher/Bazooka's projectiles.
There will be more weapons in this suggestion box, once I think of them.
Thank you for reading.
Alright, let's see here.
Prelude: Actually, I think bows are only used by Archers. Then again, knights were of a time before guns and related, so... eh.
1. Sniper Rifle - How exactly would the sniper rifle work? Would the player be stuck in place? Is there gonna be one bullet per clip? What about the bullet speed? Antigua or Valiance/Alchemer?
2. Shotgun - What is the range of the bullets? Typically, modern shotguns have a medium to reasonably long range to compensate the spread damage.
3. Bow - I dunno about this one. How fast would it take for one to load (pull back) the energy arrow? Or is the arrow already loaded in after the last one fires? If we're gonna have the second one, might as well make it a crossbow instead of a regular bow, since crossbows are more reliable to hit your target(s).
4. Spear - OR Or we could have the spear weapons the Crusaders and Deadnaughts use, with the charge attack being a literal charge forward. No? Okay. I'll just be over there, in the lava pool.
5. Mace - Reading that reminded me of the Mace Wielder enemy in ALttP and ALBW. Just spinning those things around, forcing you to keep your distance, and then you're knocked down from the mace toss. Leave it to your trusty bow to take them out. Sorry, I went off topic.
Uh... I have nothing to add about this.
6 + 7. Dual Blasters + Dual Swords - Ah, the infamous dual wield idea. I was wondering when it was gonna rear it horrendously familiar face again. I think I speak for most of us when I say this:
No. Nuh-uh. No way. Absolutely not.
8. Machine Gun - How would the shots be fired? Is it rapid fire clicking or is it like the Autogun? Can you move while shooting? If it's like the Autogun, how many bullets are shot per click? For the charge, what do you mean by "in one blast"?
9. Minigun - Like most miniguns, I'm assuming there something of a delay between pulling the trigger (clicking) and the bullets firing.
10. Light Minigun - I don't think this one is quite necessary, as people will still go for the regular minigun because of generally more firepower.
11. Rocket Launcher/Bazooka - How is this one fired? Is it like an arc into the air before hitting the ground? Shoot forward and explodes after a set distance or hitting someone? Do you not understand how many people will choose this over, say, a Bomb?
