To be honest, there's too much swords and blasters in this game. What about maces and spears? Knights in the actual old time period used spears and maces to kill their enemies. Even Bows. Unless those are just Archers. Here's some weapon ideas... and stats.

1. Sniper Rifle - Long range, however most have a broken scope. Projectile can go across entire screen. Scoped weapons can help you take out enemies from afar, so long as there's no obstacle in the way. Scoped weapons have unlimited range.

2. Shotgun - Can take out enemies with 6 projectiles if close enough. Useful for Crowd Control. Better used in close quarters. The farther projectiles travel, the less damage they do.

3. Bow - Somewhat the same as the Sniper Rifle, however has no scope. Range is limited, and does not go across the entire screen. Arrows are lasers, not actual arrows with a spearhead from whatever you make arrows from.

4. Mace - Swing on enemies to stun them and bash them. Limited range. Charge attack can let you use the Mace like a yo-yo and bounce the spiked ball forward, bashing enemies over and over again. Can come with or without spikes.

5. Spear - Jab enemies with a spear instead of using a Flourish or any of it's upgraded counterparts. Charge attack lets you spin around 3-5 times, depending on the Star rating of the weapon. Star ratings below two only let you jab the weapon forward in quick succession.

6. Dual Blasters - Even if we can't get any cool things like Shotguns and Sniper Rifles, why not we dual-equip Blasters? For example, two Proto Blasters make that. Or, dual Super Stun Guns. Some weapons cannot be dual-wielded, depending on their size. Loadout must have two Blasters. Can dual-wield different blasters. Example: Zapper and Chilling Duelist.

7. Dual Swords - If we can't have more melee weapons, at least we can also have the ability to dual-wield swords. For example, dual Searing Edge or dual Tempered Calibur. Can dual-wield different swords. Example: Ascended Calibur and Flourish. Cannot dual-wield heavy Swords.

8. Machine Gun - Even though the Autogun covers this, it would be really interesting to see this. More accuracy than the Autogun instead of a spread. Can fire up to 30 shots before having to reload. Charge attack involves firing the entire clip in one blast.

9. Minigun - The second deadliest weapon. More powerful and more ammo than the Machine Gun. You move more slowly while wielding this. Has no charge attack since you already have a deadly attack.

10. Light Minigun - Has less ammo than the Minigun, but you move more faster with this. Speed is less than normal.

11. Rocket Launcher/Bazooka - The deadliest weapon in this arsenal of suggestions. Has only one shot, and packs a huge punch. No charge attack. Helps with fighting bosses, but doesn't instantly kill them. Slimes take in the rocket and spit it out, making it useless, and grants them more Attack power. Although less than the power of the Rocket Launcher/Bazooka itself, it is still deadly should you attempt to burn through the area with only a Rocket Launcher/Bazooka. Flying creatures cannot be hurt by the Rocket Launcher/Bazooka's projectiles.

There will be more weapons in this suggestion box, once I think of them.

Thank you for reading.

Alright, let's see here.

Prelude: Actually, I think bows are only used by Archers. Then again, knights were of a time before guns and related, so... eh.

1. Sniper Rifle - How exactly would the sniper rifle work? Would the player be stuck in place? Is there gonna be one bullet per clip? What about the bullet speed? Antigua or Valiance/Alchemer?

2. Shotgun - What is the range of the bullets? Typically, modern shotguns have a medium to reasonably long range to compensate the spread damage.

3. Bow - I dunno about this one. How fast would it take for one to load (pull back) the energy arrow? Or is the arrow already loaded in after the last one fires? If we're gonna have the second one, might as well make it a crossbow instead of a regular bow, since crossbows are more reliable to hit your target(s).

4. Spear - OR Or we could have the spear weapons the Crusaders and Deadnaughts use, with the charge attack being a literal charge forward. No? Okay. I'll just be over there, in the lava pool.

5. Mace - Reading that reminded me of the Mace Wielder enemy in ALttP and ALBW. Just spinning those things around, forcing you to keep your distance, and then you're knocked down from the mace toss. Leave it to your trusty bow to take them out. Sorry, I went off topic.
Uh... I have nothing to add about this.

6 + 7. Dual Blasters + Dual Swords - Ah, the infamous dual wield idea. I was wondering when it was gonna rear it horrendously familiar face again. I think I speak for most of us when I say this:
No. Nuh-uh. No way. Absolutely not.

8. Machine Gun - How would the shots be fired? Is it rapid fire clicking or is it like the Autogun? Can you move while shooting? If it's like the Autogun, how many bullets are shot per click? For the charge, what do you mean by "in one blast"?

9. Minigun - Like most miniguns, I'm assuming there something of a delay between pulling the trigger (clicking) and the bullets firing.

10. Light Minigun - I don't think this one is quite necessary, as people will still go for the regular minigun because of generally more firepower.

11. Rocket Launcher/Bazooka - How is this one fired? Is it like an arc into the air before hitting the ground? Shoot forward and explodes after a set distance or hitting someone? Do you not understand how many people will choose this over, say, a Bomb?

1. Would be like a magnus but

1. Would be like a magnus but you only get one shot instead of 2 and the range is further. (unfair to enemies)

2. Like half a blitz attack (couple of bullets) but all at once and more mobile

3. @ sonosuke In the TF2 timeline the Sniper uses bows and guns, SK tech is more advanced but we still use swords so why not bows? Would probably be like a magnus with the charge end of the Antigua lines (plows through groups)

4. combo of a troika with the charge of a cutter? why not?

5. a flourish/caliber combo?

6 and 7? SK decided Shields were a good idea for a reason. Besides the knockback from double guns would be OP and double swords would deal OP damage. As for double bombs.... one blast would knock stuff out of the way of the other (if they didn't like DBB then that would be OP).

8. Sounds like a blitz with more bullets and less damage per bullet. Change it to a "burp guns" (guns that shoot quick short bursts of ammo, aptly named for the sound they make when someone fires a volley).

9 and 10 Basically Antigua guns with more ammo, the one question I have to ask is if you can fire just by holding down the attack button rather than furious clicking.

11. We have a Magnus that sorta does that. Make one that fires rockets (like T1 rocket pup) and hits everything and have the charge do some extra damage/fire status with some homing capabilities (T2 rocket pup)

@Sonosuke

1. Yes, the player is stuck in place when firing and has one bullet clip, with very fast speed.

2. With sucky weapons (Proto... eh... you get the picture), short to medium range. Better weapons means medium to long range, like you said.

3. Crossbow sounds more legit. And you have to fire the bow like this:
Left-Mouse to pull back the arrow, and hold the mouse button. Let go to fire.
Anyways, about the reloading speed, it takes around 2-5 seconds to reload, depending. If Crossbow... well... you know how long those things take to load...

4. Never knew that. And lol.

5. lel

6. + 7. Okay then.

8. The Machine Gun will make you move slow when firing, and it's rapid fire clicking, but the bullets travel in a arc that's not straight, but still spreads out a little. You'll keep firing until you either let go of the mouse button or you run out of ammo.

9. Yes, like that. It's not gonna fire instantly when you click the mouse button.

10. You move slowly with the Minigun... so...

11. Most travel in an arc and some travel just straight.

@Holy-Nightmare

1. Ouch.

2. Yup.

3. Well, it only hits one target unless it's Piercing.

4. I think you were being sarcastic there, but, yup. Except less powerful.

5. Something like that...

6. and 7. Thanks for telling me that.

8. Yeah, it can also be several weapons like what you be said, along with rapid-fire clicking in other weapons.

9. and 10. Not furious clicking, that would break your mouse or your finger. Whichever comes first... but still, hold-down the mouse for it.

11. Oh, really? Thanks for letting me know. (This was not meant to be sarcastic, even though it looks like it. Just sayin'.)

Butting in here! (also +1)

Hey hey, I know a bit about medieval weapons. I also practice archery. c:

Bows are slow, reloading is sort of a practice over time thing.. So it's hard to say. I can nock a new arrow in 3 seconds, if I was going for speed not accuracy on the shooting. But for the sake of the game, this is what the mechanics should be:
Clicking attack will nock an arrow. Clicking again and holding will charge, releasing at any point fires the arrow. When the charge bar is full, the arrow sails off, hits the target at a great velocity, and deals lots of damage. releasing straight off the charge will cause the arrow to fall to the ground in a pitiful attempt to defy gravity. Holding the charge for too long reduces the damage and range.
That about sums up real world archery too.
@Sonosuke Crossbows? That's the worst suggestion. Crossbows are very slow and hard to reload (good chance to lose your fingers) and are limited. High damage, sure, but as for range, they are poor in that department.

Maces (I think you mean flail) would be good, I can see them being good for dealing with crowds and taking out single targets fast. Stun suits it.
Unless that spear is actually a pike, spinning around wont do you much good. You'd be better off slapping them. c: A pike is basically a spear with an axe head on one side, so stabbing and slicing is possible in close quarters.
Sniper rifle would be great, make it a slow reload and maybe a single shot and it would be balanced well.

Not hating on this thread, I actually love it, just being pedantic about the details. :P

Geez.

Second dual-wield thread I've seen today.

Also, it appears you want to play an FPS, not a dungeon crawler. Scopes don't exactly work unless we can look through them, and we're looking down on everything.

Snipers, no. Shotguns are just swords with gun bonuses - no.
Bows could be do-able. Perhaps they have the longest range but lose damage the farther they travel? If they extend maximum range (think: valiance charge shot) then they lose 90% of damage. Reload after every shot, but a fastish reload.
There's a difference between a mace and a ball and chain. Ball and chain would be neat, but a standard mace would just be a weird sword.
Spears exist in game but we can't use them, similar to the phantom's blade. I'd like to see them implemented as heavy piercing swords.
Dual wielding is no. Check out the dozens of other threads about that topic to see why.
Machine gun is no. Again, this isn't an FPS, plus all weapons in this game must be one-handed, sans bombs.
Miniguns, again, no. Not an FPS. This is more a game about swords with guns in it than one about guns with swords in it. (TF2 is a good example of the latter)
Rocket launcher is viable as a charge-only gun. This has been suggested before. If it has any sort of standard attack, it should be a push-back effect of air that deals minimal damage. Rockets would act like rocket puppy rockets.
